And I would like to tell you how I found gold at Total Tusk Motors in Phalaborwa yesterday (09 December 2018).As a minister in the Methodist Church, I am fascinated with tokens of hope that we find in our everyday life that affirm life and Ubuntu in general. And it is not always in church or only in church that one witnesses these, but I so live it when it is witnessed in secular lives.You see, yesterday my brother, Zweli Mngomezulu, forgot his cellphone at Total Tusk Motors in Phalaborwa as we were leaving for KwaZulu-Natal after a service we had attended in Namakgale, and we only realised this as we approached Mbombela, about 300 km away. We tried to locate the cellphone and we were surprised by what we found.You see, Cally, a petrol attendant, had come in for his shift and found the cellphone. He was bothered about how expensive the cellphone looked and thought the owner might be pretty anxious about the loss. He went through the hussle of turning off the airplane mode and try and find the recent contact and tell them that they had found the cellphone.This gesture was just too much to let the mechanics of courier services that he was planning to pay his own little salary. A message of gratitude to this act of kindness was not enough, we had to see this man with our own eyes and touch him because this little act of good character touched us in the most profound way.When we finally got there, he told us that he found the cellphone when he came to work from church. So he believed is was a call to act out his faith. We tried to give him some money in gratitude, he declined and said, When I help people
