Long queues, no.movement at all and we have no idea what is taking so long, Covid 19 should not be equal to bad service, this is bad service.

The service experienced here was extremely poor and customer service is not good. There are 5 people working in the bank this morning so I would not call it short staff. I started in the queue outside, moved inside and sat at the customer service queue, a lady asked me why I am here, I told her and she told me to do my request on the computer and left me there. I returned and told her my pin does not want to work. She let me sit at the customer service queue again. Then when I was second in the queue, the same lady who seemed to be customer service and delegating the queue told me to sit in the tellers queue and I did. When I got to the front of the tellers queue the consultant said he cannot assist me and apologized as my request could not be done att the tellers. The initial lady that helped me twice was rude and said well if you do not use the banking app I will have to queue again to see the sales consultant. I told her I will queue. I am concerned and also disspaointed in the manner in which I was treated at absa retail. I could hear other customers c/o they have been in the queue for atleast 30 to 40mins and see no movement. I have been at the bank since 09h46, left at 11h48 I moved 3 times in different queues. I eventually called to be assisted in the customer line which I find this delay in waiting excessively long pointless.

While ALL the other banks are open ABSA is the ONLY bank which is closed during loadshedding. When it's the ONLY bank who does western union so have to wait until powers back plus an additional 30min for them to actually be online.Standard bank is open and operating, so is nedbank which are both on the Same premises.Thanks For the INCONVENIENCE ABSA RETAIL PARK

The gentleman at the tills is very kind, polite and trying his best to help. However, if anyone is ever going to try and pick up money that has been sent to them via Western Union - and you are a tourist/visitor - be prepared to have a PROOF OF ADDRESS with you, otherwise you are not going to be able to receive any money. Here is the thing... If you are a tourist or visitor, how the heck are you supposed to have a South African proof of address??????? So the WU homepage as well as an agent confirmed on the phone that in order to receive money in SA I only need my passport. I have gone back to absa for the THIRD time today - still insisting on a flippin proof of address. Waited outside for 25 minutes, another 15 inside, after talking to the lady telling me about the reserve bank and whatnot - thank you, but NO thank you. If you offer services from Western Union - their policies go, not yours. Or what you THINK!!!!! because common sense tells you it is not possible. Gosh I am soooooooooooooo frustrated! SO much lifetime simply wasted for 800 bucks

Worst service, been back three times just to have a card replaced. Absolute worst. Took me ten minutes from walking in to Capitec bank to have my stolen card replaced!! I know where I will be banking in the future.....

I have never been in a bank with such incompetent people...useless is not the word i can describe. If i could give you a zero rating i would. Bank not busy and sat for an hour and a half to do a payment. Only one teller, and he definitely doesn't know what he is doing
