A company that gets things done

My sons dad worked at this company he passed away 8 years ago .Till today I have not received my sons benefits.I have approached this company 3 months prior to him passing on ,with maintaince documents to make his contributions legal and fair ,they said he did not work there,after he had passed on it was evident he did work at the company and they had lied.(he also called me on the day I went to his company and laughed about them siding with him as we had a good relationship . I even told him I would be making his maintaince legal and a set amount each month )When he passed on I approached the company again to find out who the funds where held with so I could call and submit our documents as I could no longer trust what I'm hearing from the family it's best for me to call the fund directly and submit our documents ,I was told to get an attorney to email them to find out who the fund was held with.I am the the mother of the child I had every right to know unfortunately I could not afford an attorney at that time .After 8 years I called the company again to find out when will these funds be paid and I was told it has already been claimed and the person that claimed said my son will get his share .I have no contact or relation with the third party nor is it any family to my sonMy question is how and who gave this right to pay what's was due to my son to a third party .Why was my sons details withheld from the fund .The company choose to be rude when I contact them directly so maybe they could respond here .I am a survivor of attempted murder .I am no longer able to work and provide for my son anylonger due to injuries sustained. .It has been difficult in the past 8 years after his dad had passed on so I do need some answers as to how was my sons information withheld.
