The Hussar Grill Rondebosch
Smaller Hussar than other branches I have visited but just as loverly atmosphere. Very much old school steak house look and feel. Our waiter (I think his name was Hein) was still in training but very attentive and I do think he will do well growing quickly in the industry. Always great to see someone with the confidence to double check an order instead of guessing and potentially getting it wrong. All of our steaks were perfectly cooked and chips were crispy with generous portions. The complementary Chocolate vodka is always a hit and gave our night a good end. Well done Ronderbosch!

One of my top 10 best steaks I have had, for sure, prepared perfectly. I wish I had taken a photo. Service was excellent, it was lunch time with a few tables there so the waitron wasn't overly busy, but full attentive to our needs.

There are too many elements going wrong.Too many tables (making the space cramped and congested), too few waiters (creating stress for both customers and the staff), I’m assuming too few chefs (since the food needs to be delivered for the masses and the quality was severely lacking).They were very friendly, but this space could be better if they just paid attention to the details.

We were staying at the DoubleTree hotel 10 minutes away so thought we'd give this a try. Simply WOW. Although it was a Thursday evening it was very busy and we were fortunate to get a table but after 10 minutes waiting at the bar we were seated.We ordered a fillet steak each with loads of side dishes and everything came out absolutely perfect. The steak was superb and cooked to perfection.Service was also very good as was the wine and for a UK visitor, the prices are less than half than we'd expect to pay at home.We will definitely return when we are next in Cape Town.

Great place for late night food. The filling seems to stole the spot light of the bone marrow. Beef tartar in this country seems pretty good overall, The fish was over cooked. The game meat is cooked perfectly.

Lovely restaurant I’ve been going to for years. Great steak and good value with no corkage charge. Feels like home usually but very sad not to see Enoch around anymore after them having lost a few good and well tenured hosts/waiters
