If you want to be paying more than double your Tshwane account as Meter Shack continues to under pay you for electricity used or just don’t pay your Tshwane account that runs then in arrears with you receiving constant final warnings from Tshwane… then this is the company to use!!! The worst choice of metering company I have every made!!! Regretting my choice monthly!!!! I promise you you will not make a mistake to run far far away from them! Please please take my advice! It is easier to deal with Tshwane than this company and that says alot!

making arrangements to fix a metershack caused issue is near impossible. Also impossible to speak to anyone directly to get a call back in any way shape or form. I totally understand the low rating

I can't even comprehensively word my dissatisfaction with the customer support at The Meter Shack. 37 Emails, all sent to 5 different addresses, with no response whatsoever. 13 Days of calling customer service, multiple times, every single day and I have never reached an operator. Overnight balance shifts up to R2 000 which I am expected to pay with no explanation as to where it came from whilst having to suffer their audacity in sending me daily emails reminding me to settle this preposterous balance.Honestly if you are contemplating making use of their services, for the love of all that is good, save yourself the effort and just smash your head against a board filled with rusty nails as it is a much simpler way of getting a bloody headache than dealing with this nonsense.

The worst company to work with. Their Bill's spike up and there is absolutely no communication or even a care from their company to resolve issues. How does a whole company not operate via WhatsApp? Do not use them!!!

Something is seriously wrong I am waiting for my query to be resolved. I live alone work everyday and my electricity is over 1000 a month geyser off most of the time. This is really unnecessary please sort out your customer care line

How did my gas bill jump from 80 rand average (every month for 2 years) to over 1100 in one month!!! I just get a notification that my account is now in the negative and has been disconnected. No customer care line to call. No one responds on their whatsapp. Professional looters. Stay away

For the second time in two weeks The Meter Shack (Pty) Ltd has shut off my power despite me having paid earlier. They claim to have up to date technology that can pick a payment within minutes but this has not been the case. You have to call them everytime you recharge and their emergency WhatsApp number is useless. Trust me this only one of the problems we have with this company

I've had the worst experience with Meter Shack. Firstly, out of the blue my balance was sitting at -R3559 after I had bought electricity the previous week. I tell them and they say they have reversed the charges because it was not my fault, obviously. A couple of days later I recharge again on a Friday, I'm not home the entire weekend and then on Monday my account is on -R579. No one responds on their whatsapp. I don't know what kind of tuckshop these people are running but not with my money.

When no one replies to the whatsapp even though u sent through proof of payment its really frustrating & no customer care service number to call....!!! Its utterly unexceptable... very unprofessional
