Jacques is Mine Host Extraordinaire and has turned Riverstill on the banks of the Groot Marico river into a warm and welcoming place. Whether you want to swim or canoe on the river or hike or sit by the fire (in winter) and think, Riverstill offers you much in the way of beauty and activities while remaining a peaceful place full of strangers turned friends. Their high repeat business speaks for itself.

The best place to chill and unwind. The rustic feel is alluring and the river is majestic. One of the few clean rivers in the country. Great for swimming and fishing. Jacques and Louise are great company and hosts@. A must visit venue.

From the moment we arrived it was like meeting old friends. We were greeted by a warm welcome, a lovely view and a gracious and lovely cup of coffee. Jacques and Louise are fantastic hosts and a rare breed of people who truly and sincerely look after and care for their guests. I can without a shadow of doubt say that you will enjoy your stay and be well looked after. The farm itself is stunning with lots to do like hiking and swimming. Our dogs had such a blast as well I’m sure they’d give it 5 out of 5 paws if they could.

Loved the atmosphere, the river is the cleanest i've seen in my life and the hiking is tops, Jaques and Louise are amazing people. Very accommodating to all our needs, the best 14 days away from the city i've had.

Riverstill Guestfarm is a beautifully serene and quiet place if you want to leave the city. It's a magiacal place and it feels like your in another world. The river is a great place to cool off and the owners are welcoming. Anyone is welcome to sit and chat. Due to the fact that I have been going there for years, I have made many friends with guests who always come back. No matter how many times I go there it is my number 1 holiday destination

Thank you Louise and Jacques!!! We had an amazing weekend! We loved our self-catering boho house with all the modern amenities one would expect. We visited all but one of the houses - each with its unique character - you can see that a lot love and attention went into the construction of each of the unique units! We adore your dogs!! We will be back! (For anyone who rents here - the houses are not serviced daily - I'm certain if you ask this can be arranged - we however liked the idea of not being disturbed during the 4 days we stayed here)

Jacques took great care of me while I was going through a rough patch last year. Jacques loves to chat and is open to what you need and if you need to be on your own you just need to be open and honest with him and he returns that honesty. He is a very direct person and a very caring person. The place has a magic and you can rest there in ease. Just be warned one his dogs is a meastro at stealing food from the counter-if you dont lock up your goodies they will go I promise LOL.
