On our 3 days stay – on Friday, we were welcomed to the place well.The venue was beautiful, neat, and spacious.However, the treatment was not good at all. On Saturday my husband and I did a massage, manicure, and pedicure. The treatment was done in a small room where there was no music. The manicure and pedicure were done when we were lying on the bed undressed. I found it strange that they did my manicure while I was lying on the bed undressed, then said I can get dressed while my nail polish was wet. As I was getting dressed it all got ruined.When it was lunch time, we were asked to go to the restaurant to have lunch. They brought our bottle of champagne with no wine glasses. After a few minutes we asked one of the waiter’s to bring the glasses, but they were not brought to us. It took more than 10 minutes for them to bring the glasses to our table, and no apology or reason was given for the delay. We wanted to drink while we were eating but ended up losing appetite and not finishing or enjoying our meal. The food was very salty we wanted something to digest it.Another waiter came to us when we were about to leave and asked us the flavors of the drinks we would like to have as they were part of the package. We found it very strange that she only told us about the drinks when we were done eating. We felt neglected and not being treated like valuable customers. Instead, they were prioritizing other patrons more than us. We were not even asked if we have enjoyed our meals by the manager or the waiter. We were planning to eat at the restaurant on all our days of the visit, but with that appalling experience, we decided not to.The swimming pool was not appealing at all - needs to be upgraded as it looks like any home swimming pool. My children could not swim.Also, in the room, we find that disturbing that the family room has one bathroom, toilet, and shower. There is no privacy.In all 3 days visit, they brought 3 toilet paper for 5 people.From all of the treatment that we experienced, we will never come back or recommend someone to your place.

We didn't get a very nice welcome. We arrived during loadshedding and not dark outside yet. We were taken to our place no12 by the receptionist who unlocked the door and walked away. The place was in total darkness, all blinds were closed. She could have walked in with us with a light and helped us open some blinds for some light. Due to all blinds closed the place was like a fridge. The place could do with a better clean, lots of spider webs and not the cleanest. Matress is way too soft. The fire place in the lounge DOES NOT work and there are no other alternatives to warm up the place a bit.There is no wifi. Apart from all this, the view is amazing

Room was perfect. Felt very unsafe. 3 in the morning and the staff is having a party right behind my room. There is no number to call to report a problem. Hardly slept. Money paid to get out of the city ..

on the 14 till 17th December 2022 we had a nightmare most of the time there was no power because of loadshedding but as the power goes off water stops flowing most of the time in the morning that would mean no shower management could had organized a generator

Lovely lodges on the banks of the Vaal River. Clean and serviced on a daily basis, reasonably priced a easy getaway. Very close to the city centre.

The unit is very spacious and has almost everything that one could need. There is cupboard space, a large kitchen and living room, dining room and patio. However, the carpet in the bathroom makes everything feel outdated and makes the whole unit smell and feel stuffy and damp. The bathroom really needs some work. I would definitely come again if the carpets gets removed.Other than that, the stay was relaxing, the river is tranquil and the people was friendly.

The place is beautiful but it needs security because the gates were opened through out the night.

Went to the Hartelus market on the premises. Very good.

It is a beautiful place to just go and relax for the day or stay overnight. Sitting next to the river is a real soul calming experience.
