Premier Hotel The Winkler

Little bit of trip back in time. Very 1970’s feel. The staff are all super helpful. Food is very hostelish - buffet was meat good and veggie / salad weak. Need to work on the cappuccino side. Rooms were clean and neat if a little time worn.

The place is great but i overhead staff complaining about their superior it was really sad

Friendly staff, clean rooms, and beautiful garden. Can comment on the food, though. We waited for 1h15m for our order. We had to go to a local filling station to get something to eat for the night. As all of the restaurants in the area had already closed for the night. This was a very traumatic experience for me as I got a terrible heartburn from the pie and coke I had to suffer through just to have some food in my stomach for the evening. Will never visit this place again!!

Horrible attitude from the staffs, especially rude to foreign travellers. Would not recommend to anyone.Edit: Regarding the night there's only one young lady staying at the room where your staff accused her of breaking noise compliance. Two male staffs knocked on her door, without much explanations, they completely ignored her concerns on safety and privacy.This experience simply showed us how ignorant, rude, and unprofessional your staffs are.We couldn't get any assistance from the hotel the next morning thus logging this complaint on Google hoping the hotel admin would react to it. But instead of apologizing or showing any will to improve, the Hotel admin chose to mock and blame the guest in response to criticism. HOW PATHETIC!If this warden mentality is what the hotel management team have during operation, then good luck with your prison experience business!

This hotel hides behind its own self portrayed image of professionalism but in reality it is anything but professional. They refuse to take any responsibility. They cover any faults they have with the ignorant thinking that they are a praised and well established hotel" and can therefore do no wrong. This type of thinking sets back this hotel by thinking good customer service is something that is shown on a website but not something that must be practiced in reality with customers. My girlfriend was falsely accused of a noise complaint. This small incident was escalated due to the staffs way of approaching the situation and there inability to apologise or listen to a customer. This was due to there mentality that they can never be at fault

Room is generally clean & spacious. However our travel thermos flask left to dry in the room when out sightseeing was stolen (Room 124). Our hotel safe & TV remote didn't work. There was no first aid kit available in the entire hotel. Aircon units were very noisy in the room & had to be turned off to sleep.[Edit: response to owner comments]It's laughable you claim I left my flask outside the room (who does that?!). I had a bad fall at Victoria Falls & approached your front desk upon arrival for help. They only had one miserable roll of gauze. Noisy aircon was reported by multiple guest, not just me (least of my problems TBH). I'm well traveled & know how hotel safes work, pls don't be patronizing. Learn to accept your hotel shortcomings as opportunities for improvement. Cheers.

The place was beautiful. We booked a suite and i was impressed by the size, much bigger and there were two extra beds in the other room. The room was clean with a perfect view.Staff at the reception were amazing, definitely skilled in customer care.Breakfast was tasty, and they operated during loadshedding.There were beautiful animals around, surroundings are well maintained.The place is child friendly, play area for the little ones is available.Pool is kept clean and enough sitting available around the pool.There's a bar available and restaturant on site, although i didnt utilize it as they are situated close to restaurants and other shopping malls.

From good to worse, a lot has changed on this place. Treatment is much poor, management treatment is something else, the service has changed to bad. Some food got Flys. You'll find cockroach while you eat. Okay the new management is worse

Lovely hotel. Spacious rooms, lovely amenities. Just the food is disappointing. Dinner says boma braai, but all you have is a piece of chicken and overcooked piece of wors sausage. Definitely not worth R275pp. Not even a piece of steak.

Good experience the rooms very spacious and importantly in this trip pet friendly. Staff so amazing very accomodating and patient with the puppies. Nice size pool too. Food was mediocre though but enjoyed our stay thoroughly thank you all.
