Unreliable Never repaired door lock properly. Promised 3 times he would come back to fix it. After almost a week still not working. Dont ever believe him. Also charging exorbitant prices.

On a recent visit to Paarl, I accidentlly locked my keys inside my car, and immediately called Marais Locksmiths.They arrived within 5 minutes of the call, and managed to get my car unlocked with non-destructive techniques in no time. They were very friendly and professional, an their prices were incredibly reasonable.I highly recommend Marais Locksmths to anyone in need of an affordable, rapid response locksmith.

Very disappointing service received. On Wednesday an emergency call was placed to the 24hr service - prompt service was received in order to take the lock out. I was contacted the on Thursday morning to inform me that they were waiting on a lock and as soon as they received one it would be installed, however after that it all went downhill. I messaged to enquire about an estimated cost so that I could leave money with a neighbour who was opening up - no response. This was at 12.36pm. At 7.34pm I sent a message inquiring how far the lock was - no response. The following morning an inquiry was made as to whether the repair was going to take place - again no response. At 2.46pm yet another message sent to say that as I had no response I would need to get another locksmith out however I would be charging the call out fee to Mara is & Kies due to inconvenience caused low and behold suddenly I receive a response from the gentleman I had been communicating with informing that he was day off and that I needed to contact his father as he had placed the order for the lock. This is now over 50hrs since the original lock was removed by the same company. A little communication would have helped this situation. Perhaps a change in name is required as it is most certainly not a 24hr service offered. Will most certainly not recommend this company - rather go elsewhere.
