Hillside Farm

I highly recommend a stay at Hillside Farm. We were traveling with our 3 month old and Len's Cottage was a private oasis. The grounds are beautifully maintained (especially the pool) and the accommodation has everything you need and more with comfortable beds and great linen. The food is delicious, homecooked meals and generous portion sizes (even freshly baked cheese scones for breakfast). The staff are wonderful and good communication regarding checking in. We will absolutely be staying there again.

Comfortable and well looked after accommodation with everything thought of. Delicious dinner and breakfast available. Lovely garden. Good place to stay off the N1.

We had a refreshing stay, after a long day of driving. Room was very spacious. Huge garden, and relaxing atmosphere.

Just slightly off the beaten track, between Bloemfontein and Colesberg, lays an oasis of adventure and history. Our host, Kate, ever gracious, treated us like family, and served us with an experience we will never forget. Hillside Farm is a working farm, with accommodations available to the weary traveler. Our unit was excellently presented, with space, luxury and comfort. The bathroom is big enough to swing an elephant in. Unfortunately it bucketed down during our stay, so we could not explore the farm. Would definitely be back to do that someday soon. Our dinner was out of this world delicious and we threatened to steal her cook :-). Would highly recommend a stay.

By far the best venue for me throughout our road trip. We booked into the tree house. It was comfortable and super clean. Supper was delicious and breakfast was a welcomed change from bacon and eggs to fruits and scones.

I cannot fault Hillside Farm.Worth the stay. Beautiful views and stunning accommodation.

Staying at Hillside was a lovely experience, so beautiful and peaceful, exactly what I needed to break up my long, long drive to Cape Town. The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. I had a long hot bath in my enormous gorgeous bathroom while looking out over the rose garden. Bliss!

A beautiful, cozy room after a long drive with a stunning view of the farm was just what we needed.Kate and Ian are wonderful hosts who keep a very clean, spacious environment for guests.Definitely going back and would recommend a stay.
