Enjoyed their starters, the slowly grilled steak and chicken was out of this world. The meat is fresh and juicy not your everday steak you would get from restaurants.Desert was also lovely and not too sweet.Lovely atmosphere, candle light dinning was absolutely beautiful.

From marrow to flan this meal delivered on flavor. The ambiance is rustic, cozy and warm, the staff friendly and mindful, and the prices are very reasonable given the quality of the meal. So glad this was a part of my first Johannesburg visit. I will be back!

Most amazing restaurant. I brought my dad for his 55th birthday and they made it so special for him. We drove an hour to get here and it was worth it! Great service and incredible food.

Che Argentine Grill was an interesting experience. The decor gave you the impression that you may be in Argentina. The staff and waiters were friendly and efficient. They served us some of their fresh home made bread. It came with chimichurri condiment and was delicious. For the main course we chose 3 different meats between the three of us, with the intention of sharing. The meat was the biggest disappointment. No herbs, spices or marinades were used in the preparation. The meat was grilled and served as is. The only condiment was the chimichurri, again. It is the only time in over 40 years of dining in various restaurants where we were served ribs without a marinade. Really strange (boring), at least to our taste. Ultimately the 3 different meat cuts were almost identical in taste, with the spider steak marginally better than the others. Various side dishes were on the menu but were mostly unavailable for some reason we could not quite comprehend.Pairing the meal with a choice of wine proved to be impossible as no local wines were on offer. This may have been acceptable if the imported wines were more affordable. We ended up choosing the Sangria, which was one of the best we have had. I would think that expanding the wine list to include a local variety would boost sales substantially. People are creatures of habit after all.Desert was scrumptious. Definitely worth the kilojoules. The bill ended up being higher than any other establishment that we have frequented in years. R610.00 per person, including the gratuity. Worth it? Not really in our opinion, but glad to have tried it at least once.

The grills were cooked to perfection and deliciously flavored. We had the rib eye and pork belly. Fresh and tasty sides. Perhaps the best chips with parsley and garlic I’ve ever eaten. Definitely worth several repeat visits

I was very disappointed in my experience. Unfortunately there were items not available on the menu which is what I wanted being the prawns and the lamb chops. Then had the fillet and it was not cooked to medium rare was close to rare which was disappointing. I have had better fillets. I was so looking forward to experiencing this place but did not meet my expectation. I have given it a three as I really liked the restaurant setting and ambience and the staff are extremely friendly.
