Absolutely amazing place to learn BJJHaving never done any form of martial artI went into lances dojo and felt instantly at homeThe way the students and teachers present themselves is very professional but also very friendlyThere was no arrogance or ego’s within the dojo everyone is willing to help guid you and teach youLances knowledge of the art is incredibleAnd his way of teaching is just as goodNo mater your limitations he will find a way to adapt the art to suit youI’ve been there for 3 years now and wouldn’t want to train anywhere elseI couldn’t recommend The Jiu Jitsu Studio highly enoughWhat an amazing place to belong to and to train at

iv got nothing good but to say , lance is incredible he is very knowledgeable and a very good teacher he is very understanding and takes his time with his student , even out of bjj lance is a great guy honestly would recommended to anyone wanting to learn bjj or for fitness or just in general to have a good time etc. Very friendly non judgemental place with respectful teachers and students.

A fantastic culture & knowledgeable instructorsI had my first lesson with Sensei Lance back in 2008, if you are looking for effective self defense taught in a respectful and fun way then look no further the JJS. At JJS you join a family not a club. Thanks Sensei for the many many great years!

I came to this studio as a kid with a lack of confidence and bully issues at school. Within 6 months I was holding my head high & got some great fitness.That was 9 years ago. Lance helped build me & many other kids & adults alike into mean machines haha.Respect is required throughout the ranks & everyone is treated as equal.I couldn’t recommend this studio more.Amazing atmosphere, and with the new focus being more on Brazilian Jiujitsu, it’s more kid friendly than ever!

The instructor Lance Johnson is a brilliant inistructor in both BJJ and Japanese Jujitsu. He explains the techniques in detail and takes you through them in small steps until you can perfect them. Even complete novices will feel confident with Lance at the helm

First started training at Lance's gym almost 7 years ago and would never want to train anywhere else.If you're looking to either start training or to advance your self defence skills, at the jiu jitsu studio you’ll find yourself surrounded by a great crew that genuinely wants to see you succeed. Would recommend trying the jiu jitsu studio to men and women of all ages, fitness levels and skill sets.

I love training at The Jiu Jitsu Studio, super friendly gym with no egos. Classes are great fun and I can learn in a non-intimidating environment. Could not recommend enough!!

The Jiu Jitsu Studio is a fantastic place to learn self-defense, relieve stress and get fit. The studio is completely accepting and welcoming of beginners and female students. Lance and his staff have a fantastic dynamic with kids and are also great at teaching discipline. The environment is fun, friendly and seriously addictive!
