I have only been here for a lunch therefore I can not comment on the hotel conditions. The ostrich steak I had was of excellent quality and well cooked.

Its under new management to I think they need a chance to get it where it used to be. Not enough parking though and road access a bit tricky. Food was OK, didnt enjoy snails in crumbs. Will give them a second chance though and they didn't have veal schnitzel - ambience made amazing by live entertainment

I had a really amazing time at Werner's, their food is amazing and the service was top class.The only thing I can fault them for is not being able to serve coffee during loadshedding. And they have one of those horrible one man bands that play on the weekends so you can't hear anything anyone at your table is saying, which defeats the point of going to a nice restaurant.

Food was good as was the service. Went on a Sunday and the music was pleasant. Food pricing on the high side, the wine prices horrendous. The biggest negative are the benches at the pool, no cushions. Extremely uncomfortable, would have stayed longer but after a couple of hours couldn't handle it anymore. I would suggest the owners get some cushions for older people not so well padded. Otherwise I would suggest one take their own.Will I go again?.....yes but not too oftain.

Food was delicious and live music amazing.... however the service was terrible!!! Went back today after about 15yrs and was expecting a great time.. unfortunately it was so disappointing -- Felt like a milkshake, they dont sell it. Asked for a cocktail, don't sell it.. asked for brutal fruit, nope.. theres only about 3 Ciders to choose from!- Order snails, receive it with no bread. Ask the waiter, he leaves doesn't come back to inform me.. call another waiter and get told they out of stock of BREAD! So I paid R85 for 6 snails.- 7 of us wanted the Sunday Roast, get told 30min later it's sold out at 13h15 but there's a board highlighting all the specials for the day. 20min goes by with no sign of a waiter to take our new order for mains.... we had to call someone.- Asked for the Malay Curry - out of stock- Another guest wanted a certain main dish - out of stock- Asked for a takeaway of my chocolate mousse, waiter never returned.. Had to find another one to help me about 30min later.I don't see myself ever going back, it's a pity as the music and food was amazing!! Stock levels arnt being managed and service is shocking.. Management need to seriously sort that out!

It's a nice place to have a meal, not cheap. Nice surroundings. Waiters are pleasant.
