Parking is an absolute nightmare. You can never find one and you have to park in the street. The building itself needs to be upgraded and is hot as hell in there as there is no aircon. There is always a cue as well which is not cool when you are working. You would have to take the day off.

Booked online for drivers license renewal, found an appointment within 7 days. On the day I was in and out within 2 hours. Process was organized, it could be more efficient if there was a separate counter for those who have eye test results with them, but nonetheless a drastic improvement on 5 years ago. License was ready for collection within 4 weeks and I was able to collect within 5min. Pleasantly surprised.

I took my daughter to write her learners on Friday and when she finished the computer said Congratulations you passed your test" only for the facilitator to tell her she didn't!!! When she brought her results to the car we noticed that the results she was given was from her previous test

Online booking is essential. The online website to do this is called NATISYou will need your ID document and a copy of your ID for their files. Do your eye test at an optometrist (R50) and take it with you.The payment queue is very long by the afternoon. Try to secure an earlier appointment if possible. You will fill out papers. Take your own pen. They don't take cash, card payments only. If you are losing your finger prints as some elderly do, call and find out what your options are. If you need a temporary driver's license, take your own black and white pictures with you. My driver's renewal process took just short of 2 hours.

Except for the upfront booking, service was excellent and quick absolutely unlike government door. It felt like a disciplined private company running the facility. Keep it up guys, no one asked for bribes and I don't pay anyway but report such.

Very efficient service. Went for a driver’s license renewal. My appointment wat 8:20 and I was out just before 9:00. Your own appointment goes quicker if you bring your eye test result, but still have to fall in the same queue as those who don’t, so takes a bit longer for them to finish. Remember you have to book online on the NATIS site, they don’t accept cash, and you need ID photos for a temporary driver’s license. I did not have any issue with parking, parked inside the premises.
