African Vibes Camps Bay

Great place, nice few, clean rooms, friendly management. We came back to stay for another night- same experience. Special thanks to theodor. :)

Terrible place to relax, amazing for parties. The hotel management is not in the building so you can literally do whatever you want except relaxing. I wouldn't recommend to families either. Located in Camps Bay we found the spot and the views were great. In fact, the little hotel is well built but the management is quite poor. It seems like a big house and every room has now become a hotel room. We were a group of 4 and arrived around 4pm. At the beginning we struggled to find the reception desk and we had to call the management to get our keys. When we got in we just saw few lads enjoying the pool with very loud music. It was fine for us since it was quite early but already shocking the relaxing mood seen in Booking wasn't there. Anyway, the lady came and got us our rooms saying “oh it seems you have a little party in the pool haha” we already noticed the hotel management had no problem to allow noise, party, alcohol in common areas. The music of these lads continued all day long but the party hadnt started yet. People from out of the hotel were joining like the entire house was theirs. Unluckily these people had booked 3 rooms and since the reception lady wasn't in the house they kept coming and owning the property. Two of us left and when we came back there was no parking for the hotel guests. It was 9pm and the party was ramping up. At 10pm all 4 of us wanted to rest since we had to go early to the airport. We had to contact the management and even though they were quite quick coming in they continued the party for another 30-40 min. I heard them complaining they had booked 3 rooms and had the right to enjoy the property. Eventually at 11pm they went out. But, nearly 1:30am they were back from partying and they started a second party inside the house and next to the pool. All of us woke up with the loud music. Of course, management wasnt there so the house was an anarchy. You can do anything there, except resting. After one hour, we got hotel management to come, which this time were clear they wanted the party to finish and eventually they made them stop. But it was already 3am and we had to wake up at 6am… TV wasn’t working, shared bathroom.. A PLACE TO AVOID

Amazing views. I enjoyed my time there, spent 3 nights in one of the most beautiful and cosy rooms. The staff was very nice, they even gave me some tips for my vacation. I would definitely recommend it.

My place to go everytime i think about spending time, enjoying the view of camps bay beach and just relaxing. Man the staff working there are amazing, helpful and just their overall service is amazing. I recommend everyone in or coming to Capetown try this place and you will be amazed. Their rooms are just beautiful and neat. As a bodybuilder i eat a lot, so its helpful to find a neat small kitchen with everything you need to prep food. i love it!!!

Really recommend this place!Been there for a week, the views of the ocean and the mountains are amazing. The staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are really cool, created with an artsy touch.I will come back for sure.

My boyfriend and I came across this gem of a bargain while frantically searching for last minute accommodation online. The lovely Romanian manager upgraded our room to the suite with pool view as the AC in our original room was broken and making a terrific noise. Ongoing construction efforts and accompanying noises at the property however did not distract from simply majestic views of the Atlantic ocean offered over 3 layers of the property, including a large deck. The interior decor is well presented, specifically on photographs of the property. Those with indoor plant allergies will be delighted to find that none of the plants are real. We were further pleasantly impressed by the enduring functionality of several items in our unit despite their broken appearance. We enjoyed our once-in-a-lifetime stay at African Vibes.

Good contact with the hosts who ensured we were having a good time during our stay. Amazing view. Hiking trails nearby and a good restaurant just 13 mins walking distance from the hotel. Breakfasts could be more diverse but all ok.

Beautiful house in a stunning location with outstanding views. Our room was tiny quirky but adequate and had a small bathroom. The electrics and power points were questionable, but the room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The host was both charming and very helpful.
