The service was great.I booked online to renew my driver's license.You will need printed copies of the below:1. Online Booking confirmation.2. Two drivers license photos, colour or black and white.3. Pen.4. ID document and a printed copy of your ID.5. Your driver's license card.To Pay, you will need a credit card or cheque card. No cash transactionsThe total cost was R300 for a renewal and temporary drivers licenceWhen I arrived I went to the first window on the left at the front door. They ask for your ID, Booking confirmation and drivers licence. Then after confirming that you have booked online, you get the forms to fill in and instructions to which sections to fill in. Then you go inside after a security check. The waiting area for drivers licence renewal is to the left when you enter. When they call your name you go through to an eye testing station where your eyes are tested. You give them your driver licence, ID one photo and you're completed forms. I did not go to the optometrist for eye testing as it is done here. Then they take your fingerprints and give all your documents back. After that, you go to the cashier for payment and remember to request a temporary drivers licence from the cashier. Payment is done with your card. This took just over an hour for me.

Wow. I'm so impressed with the service I received today. Made a booking online, made my way there the following day, my name was on the list. I didn't wait long at all. Accompanied someone to do her learner's licence here. I was initially reluctant to book for her at this licence department because of the great experience I had at Xavier and I wanted her to go there as well. Unfortunately there were no openings at Xavier since December and after going through the reviews I took a chance with this one.We arrived at 08:00, her test was at 09:00. The line wasn't too long, she was given a form and before she could fully complete it; she was called to go inside. I wasn't allowed to go in the building with her but since they weren't taking cash for payment she used my card and I received payment notification at 09:04.The entire process was smooth and the staff was professional. Thank you for the efficient service!

The absolute worst plave ever , Can't get anything done. There are supposed to be 10 cashiers but there's 2 and they are the slowest ever. You book for a learners but they can't tell you what to do when and where to go or to pay. I'm ashamed of what this country has become.

On arrival I found two gentle man inside the station, they offered to help with change of ownership papers, later on one took money and he refused to pay. I asked the security to take me to the station manager but he kept on taking me to the other hustlers' team

I really was impressed by their service and strict covid regulations. Social distancing is compulsory and staff are patient and very helpful.

We didn't take time to collect our Driver’s License. Long queue but it was dissolved so quickly, I didn't expect such.

I really don’t understand the negative reviews here. Compared to other departments (especially Alberton ), Boksburg is the best. You don’t even spend 30 minutes in a queue, you don’t have to queue for the forms and the tellers s are fast and NOT rude.
