PHSG is one of the top schools in Gauteng in academic achievement. They are listed in the department of education's top 100 list. PHSG has a rigorous academic curriculum,from 2004–2009, they have had a 100% Matriculation pass rate. PHSG also won the Most Improved Schools Awards of 2007 together with 10 other schools around the country. They won a prize for Excellence in Mathematics because 138 students attained a higher grade maths pass mark. It is in the top 5 public schools in the province.In 2009, the school had a 99.9 percent Matric pass rate. The school has also been recognized as a circle of Excellence School by the Allan Gray Investment Management.The motto of the School is We work in hope, and has a Latin equivalent, Prosit Spes Labori. It's a memorable place.

I left the school after June exams and my mom was requesting my report for a year and I still have not seen it and I was repeating grade 8 and really wanted to know how I did. There are 30 to 34 kids in a class and students don't get individual attention that some students need including me.

Beautiful well kept gardens. The buildings reflect a rich history.

I haven't been here yet but in 2021I will and I will be having the boarding experience in this lovely school. Keep up the great work PHSG! love the attitude and your YouTube channel

This school was the most amazing school I ever went to. I loved every moment of it and I grew so much as a person there. The teachers and people in the school were absolutely amazing.

I have been harassed by girls from this school on my way home. I hope this is not the standard this school sets yet it seems to be a serious problem.

This is THE BEST SCHOOL in South Africa. Hands down. During the pandemic, every one of my daughter’s teachers went far beyond what was expected of them. She is now in Gr 12, and the fantastic fabulousness of these educators still continues. If you wish to give your daughter a head start in life, enrol her here for high school. You will not regret it.
