The owner can come across as being a bit abrasive, but thats just how he is. Once you get to know him you will realise he is a total animal person and not really a great people person.I love this place and will always support them when I am in the area.They have a massive range despite the size of the shop, and the prices are fair for a small family owned local business.

Lyall is fantastic. Has gone out of his way to make sure I can leave with my required refuel. Always happy to help, and make a plan when there is none. Also usually has oat hay in stock at a very reasonable price. My zoo and I appreciate you.

I recently visited this place, with my two young kids. I am appalled at the lack of decorum met with by the extremely rude male behind the counter. He displayed an aggressive attitude that smacks of racism, and made use of foul language that is reflective of someone being uncultured and lacking in proper social skills when dealing with customer dissatisfaction. The fact that my kids were with yet he would speak in such an uncivilised manner made me leave the items I had paid for as I didn't want to subject my kids to such repulsive conduct. I will never visit this place again as it was clear that dealing with people of color equated to inferior service from this ill-mannered brute. I am shocked that such mindsets still impress their reprehensible selves on South African society.

I realy dont like that this place has their hamsters in extremely small cages.. I got a dwarf frome them.. The cage had no wheel, no water bottle and scatered food...their bath sand is fake advertizement... It labels sand but is rly rly dusty... Basicly powder.and their beding is expensive so make it better and u will get a better rating from me
