Thompson Bay Rock Pool
Visit to Thompson beach made our holiday extra special. Great beach with everything one could need. Safe parking, life guard on duty, umbrella to hire @ R70, clean change rooms and warm water showers. Tidal pool was a blast and the hole in the wall was phenomenal to see in person.

Thompson Bay Rock Pool
It was a great experience to swim in the tidal pool and walk through the hole in the wall while the waves were splashing water on us. Spectacular view, and we could also see quite a bit of the ocean's wildlife inside the tidal pool as well, such as small fish, crabs, corals. I would go back again!

Beautiful beach with rock pool. Life guard on duty till 4/5pm. Can snorkel in the rock pool as there is beautiful fish. Almost always very windy.

My oh my....List for words....Been to the North Coast like 30 times but....never been to Thompson's Bay...How does one xplain that...I mean really ????..its stunning...fascinating....Nature @ its best....The hole in da wall....truly a marvel and welcoming sight ....we spent hours there...cudnt get enough of the place...The place is also well kept and preserved ..Facilities are neat and clean. .Put this at the top of ur bucket list guys

This is one of the places in KZN, everyone needs to see at least once. It's spectacular and truly worldly.It's 32 steps to the bottom and easily walkable by most individuals. Parking at the top is R10 a car. Worth it for your safety.

Thompson Bay Rock Pool
Lovely tidal pool, peaceful and kids loved swimming with the fishes.Facilities and bathrooms are a bit smelly. Bring own lunch/refreshments.Caution: DO NOT walk or pose for Photo’s on the rocks next to the tidal pool. Saw many people posing for photo’s and someone knocked off with some serious injuries. Luckily fell into the tidal pool, was almost knocked off into the sea.

Thompson Bay Rock Pool
Great swimming spot. The tidal pool is large for a good swim or snorkelling to see some beautiful life. The path that leads to hole in the wall is just passed the tidal pool, a good sight to see. There are lifeguards stationed there in the day and there are flagged areas on the shoreline to swim safely.
