Kingfisher Cottages

We rent frequently and for some extended period of time self catering units in South Africa; Kingfisher cottages really stand out from all the places we rented before. The scenery is awesome ; the cottage has all the necessary equipments and more to enjoy a real self catering experience.Very important these days we enjoyed a 24h power and wifi supply; the cottage being powered by solar panel.Located in beautiful nature with a few hiking trails nearby this place offers everything needed for an active or quiet holiday.Cherry on the cake the hosts are really charming and helpful. We will come back !

I really loved the eco friendly accommodation. Well appointed cottages, built with conservation in mind. It was so good to get away from cell phone reception for a bit.

Sets the bar for sustainable tourism. A peaceful, beautiful eco retreat. Delicious trout. Star-studded skies. Great walks with kids. Comfortable, well designed and equipped cottages.

Arriving here and meeting with the owners was a pleasant experience, very friendly and welcoming. The accomodation is fantastic and this off the grid cottages is a must stay.From all the thought been put into what is in the cottage to just the breathtaking views at any given point in the day. We did the Leopard Trail hike and it was a really enjoyable hike, recommend starting early in summer.The Trout products you can buy at the main house is also great quality and the expertise around how they look after these fish is a great story to listen. All in all I would wholeheartedly recommend these cottages.

Location is breathtaking. Stayed in Malachite and it reminded me of a stone hobbit hideaway, so cute and comfy. Really enjoyed our stay, the spectacular hike and bonding with the resident doggo, Annie.

Place to relax , reconnect with nature . Very clean spacious cottages with all amenities needed. We will be back over and over . Fantastic stay !!
