Got a Bulldozer. It was nice to eat but the next morning I had some mild food poisoning. The person I got one for too had the same experience.They have some interesting menu items that I would have liked to try.

Iv'e been coming here for many many years and its always been just great food and at a really affordable price!I must say though i have been really disappointed at the quality of the food since new ownership has taken over. The menu has been beefed up which has been really great but it seems as though they are trying to cut costs by purchasing from a new supplier because its definitely not as good. The russians and cheese russians were really good before but now i can barely stomach them. They are full of oil that shoots all over the place when you bite it, and it almost tastes like the pork free russians you can get, its just really bad quality unfortunately. And with the chips and vetkoeks you just never know if you going to get a good batch or not anymore.Please Helis can you go back to what always worked!

They make the absolute best Vetkoek in the whole Gauteng area. Their is a big variety of variations to pick from. The bulldozer is for the really hungry. My personal favorite is a toasted blondie and a chicken L.A. The owners are always friendly and the food fresh. You won't be disappointed by here. Good quality.

Pity they're located in such a shady part of town. I don't like being harassed by druggies while I'm waiting for my food. But - their food is amazing as always! Great value for money!

The staff we have had the last few times are really unorganized, we ordered beforehand but they only start preparing it when we get there to collect or the order is incorrect. And we have been coming here for years, this is just really disappointing.

We have been buying from Heli's for many years and use to love supporting then since the new owners took over the vetkoek seems to get smaller the filling less and the price more the curry mince is bland and the potatoes still hard. Vetkoeks are burnt we thought mabay it was a bad day but went back and the same thing happened again it is a shame that sutch a legendary shop is going down hill so fast.

Great food. Nobody makes vetkoek in such a big variety like they do. Good value for money. The owner is always helpful and friendly. No wonder the business has been around for decades.
