An absolute hidden gem an hour away from Jo'burg and Pretoria. There are some really nice walks you can do or just chill on your veranda. A must for anyone who wants to take a break and rechargem

Was amazing tranquil luxurious cottage each room on suite even dishwasher and washing machine with all the xtras you can just take food along. Scenery breathtaking easy 2 just relax.Only down side is the ticks when hicking they climb onto you - we each had about 5 biting us but apparently they are not the kind which make one sick but next time i will take precautions for them

Beautiful place. Cottage was extremely well appointed, had all the utensils you need to cook and bake, even a hand mixer. Very clean and luxurious.

A fantastic weekend getaway, extremely well appointed Cottages, all the comforts of home out in the countryside. The attention to detail from the owner, Jardyne is incredible, she has has thought of it all. From the dishwasher tablets, dustbin bags, and everything in between, just bring your food, and that all you need for a weekend home away from home. The pool was a welcome requirement in the heat, as was the outdoor shower. super clean and well done to Alet and her team. almost forgot - Pet Friendly, the main reason we booked in the first place.

We loved Burkei cottages.Neat, Clean, modern, comfortable and spacious.Close to Jhb. Secure and quiet. Affordable.Hope to go again sometime soon. North facing nice for winter.Take anti tick spray for yourself and dogs.

This was a wonderful mid week getaway.The unit was 10/10 with all amenities and luxuries at your disposal.I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone.The only thing that we found was alot of ticks on our pooches. Perhaps cutting the brush down and keeping it trim around the units could help to alleviate this.

I would just like to thank Alet and Edgar for going the extra mile, your friendliness, your patience and the way you attend to any situation with compassion, care and love.We had a great time at Burkei with our doggies and would definitely recommend you for people with or without animals. The view, the modern look everything is just wonderful, without these 2 staff members it wouldn't be the same so thank you Alet and Edgar much appreciation for working so hard.

Saw this gem on a facebook pet friendly destination group. From the booking to handing back the keys, the experience was fantastic. Excellent customer service, clean facilities, modern appliances, great walks etc etc. Top class getaway. Our fur babies loves their stay. Definately recommend.
