I don't think this is a German restaurant any more. I went there on the ratings. The last rating mentioning German food is 5 months ago. I went in and found live jazz music. Menu on the blackboard was mac and cheese, peri peri chicken etc. We decided to leave.

Amazing food with a nice atmosphere. Parking a bit of a struggle, but don't let that keep you away. Had the Eisbein, and absolutely breathtaking

Food is great. It is a long time since I last went there, but the food is still great. This brings another problem and that there is very little parking for patrons? Always been a problem? But don't let that deter you as there are car guards, such as they are, that will hopefully look after your car, after all this is JHB?

Amazing hosts, barman, waitress! Such a warm welcome on a cold day! A true German dining experience! We loved the German beer, Gluwein and Blackforest shots! The food was incredible and huge portions. The pudding was delicious! Thank you for such a wonderful afternoon!

This first time visitor was delighted by the ambience, service (thanks, Thembi!) and general vibe. I love a sports bar and taste adventure so it ticked all my boxes. Loved the black forest shot ;) schnitzel various beers and strudel. Will definitely be back.Will stay that it is odd that a place that embraces the beer mats of others doesn't have their own but that makes me chuckle more than anything else.

The service is extremely slow, having to wait for a drink more than 20 minutes even subsequent orders.Having been served a Salat bowl without spoons is very poor for a restaurant of any standard.In addition a automatic 10% service charge added to the billing for less then 8 person, does not allow to use your discretion on what would be an appropriate, even if you received sub standard service.It is very noisy on the outside part of the restaurant
