Letaba River Lodge

An amazing location, with the friendliest of smiles, even more so the rangers. First time in memory interacting with wild predictors. Round of applause to Luke and Ellen for the comfort/confidence they instill in people, whilst in the presence of such beautiful power animals. These guys' love and passion for their work was truly felt. With humor and care they made the experience a amazing one.

Wow what an amazing experience. Friendly and helpful staff. What an experience interaction with the lion cub and the lemurs. Wow the Lemurs came and eat of your shoulder some cut fruit, that was awesome, and what big Lions and Tigers. Very clean venue. I would recommend it to all families. Thanks to everyone that made our day special. We loved it

We stayed over for one night, but would love to stay longer. Very neat and clean. The game rangers are friendly. We enjoyed the knowledge of the ranger Luke Schoeman about nature and the animals. He definitely know how to deal with all the guests. He gives value to Letaba River Lodge.

Very nice. Pity that the restaurant was not open. Would be nice if the guide spend more time with visitors, since I payed for it

The best place. Friendly staff. Tigers, lions and a lot of sweet animals not often seen. Love the place.

It was an awesome experience! You can really see the love the rangers have for the animals and also how the animals love the rangers. They always answered any questions you have with great detail. You really get to learn more about the animals. It was an experience I will never forget. I will recommend them to anyone that wants a great big cat experience!

Stopped at Letaba Junction – wow, what a fabulous venue!! It’s right on the river! Rooms available, a huge restaurant, undercover patios and boat cruises can be arranged.Ordered a Chicken Nachos to share – it was a huge portion! Really delicious! On the river Hyacinths floated down the river – the manager said they spray it … such a problem. I walked to a shop next door – all kinds of goodies to buy for your house – and small packets of Coach House nougat. I remembered the Coach House used to be in Tzaneen – they’re in Cape now and have changed their packaging. Bought Hein a normal Honey-Macadamia Nougat. Decided to try an iced Chai Tea – wow, sweet, fragrant and like a dessert!

Place and location good. Breakfast can be improved. Eggs are cooked even before ordered. But overall nice place

I went there on Wednesday.Had a whole day planed we always loved going and petting the animals. Got there and te receptionist said we should first go in and ask the guide what animals we will be able to pet. There was only 2. I was very sad they used to have a lot of animals. Will recommend that you call ahead and ask what is available.

Price very reasonable for what you get. Meals were excellent, from rump steak to burgers to their breakfast. Exhilarating to hear lions roaring whilst in your room! Staff are extremely friendly and efficient. Lots more to do with very knowledgeable ranger on the game drive and interesting variety of other animals. Only 3 & 1/2 hours from Pretoria making it a nice weekend break.
