My AC was leaking, and Musical Cars were recommended for repair. Made an appointment, took the vehicle there. They found the leak as a faulty low pressure pipe. Since it is an older vehicle had to cut the fittings and weld in a new section (this work is outsourced and the welding is bloody impressive). Diagnosed, repaired and regassed all within two hours at a fair cost. AC ice cold again and working well. Will recommend for any AC repair or regas.

I don't recommend this business because they don't listen to the customer and quickly jump to conclusions about what you want or what the problem is - this ends up costing you extra time and money. From the interactions I had I couldn't help but wonder whether I would have got the same condescending approach if I was a man.I took my car in 3 weeks ago and asked for them to check for leaks because it had been serviced, regassed and dye added only 4 months ago (by a different garage). It was given back to me regassed but when I asked about the leak check they kind of avoided the topic and told me that they had added dye. I pointed out that dye had been added at the service, but they didn't seem to register or be interested in the history. I hoped for the best but unfortunately it was less than 3 weeks when we noticed that the ac air was not cold all the time so I took the car back. Initially the technician wanted to tell me that there was nothing wrong with the ac. It was only when I pointed out that there are 2 drivers of the car (my son and I), and that both of us had noticed the same patterns of low cooling, particularly in hot weather. Suddenly when my son was mentioned, he went off to do more checks and sure enough, a problem condenser was found.An efficient and quick job was done of replacing the condenser while I waited. I had been given an overall price that I agreed, but when I was given the invoice I noticed that they had charged me for another round of re-gassing. I do think that if they had listened properly first time round and taken the time to check for leaks, they would have picked up on the condenser problem and I wouldn't have had to pay for another round of re-gassing. I politely asked them about this charge and before I could even finish my sentence the manager started talking over the top of me and walking away. I couldn't believe it so I pointed out that I was just trying to clarify as I had asked him to check for leaks at the previous visit. At this point he started raising his voice and just worked away saying things like 'I'm finished with this' I don't want to talk to you'. I paid the bill waited for him to finish looking at car and told him that I found his approach condescending and rude. He started shouting again and walked off - in front of his other customers.I can only think that by asking an innocent question about a charge I touched a nerve - that actually they should have checked for leaks the first time around and didn't. Who in this business climate treats their customers like this? Who is so arrogant to think that a cusomer is not allowed to question charges on an invoice? And would he have reacted like he did if another man was standing in front of him?"

I had my aircon refilled at Musical Cars. Yes they don't just do car radios. After the super friendly service on the aircon refill I will certainly be back. The trip the Northern Cape would have been a little uncomfortable if we had not sorted the aircon out. Peaking at 41 degrees Celsius. Thanks guys!

Amazing service. The staff were so friendly to me. As a woman walking into a garage I always expect to be treated a bit differently- but everyone was so lovely including the mechanic who worked on my car.If you're looking for a garage that doesn't try to overcharge you for unnecessary replacements, this is the place to go.Thank you so much for the great experience, I would definitely recommend them!

Brought my vehicle in a few weeks ago as air con wasn't working. The problem was quickly diagnosed as the compressor. Vehicle was ready on time as promised. Very happy with excellent, professional service from helpful and friendly staff.
