Reading Golf Club

My honest review about Reading is it's a beautiful course and well kept however it's extremely narrow and difficult for new golfers, the staff working in the pro shop and restaurant are respectful but not extremely helpful at certain times, the food is very basic and nothing really special to add but it's not bad.Personally, one of the things that annoyed me about Reading is, if the course is full and you need play with other players (which I don't have a problem with) they will team you up with people with a much lower handicap than you, in other words if your still a beginner you'll end up playing with a much more experienced golfer who knows what he/she is doing, this in my opinion can be discouraging and it could frustrate other players as you will struggle to keep up, this once again in my opinion ruins the golf experience as you are forced to keep up the pace at the cost of you enjoying the game.However, some of the golfers are really nice, and understanding some are not.So, in short, if you're a beginner, rather play an easier course as Reading should not be a first choice to start with, but if you're a seasoned player, Reading is a good choice.

Played there on Saturday with our group called Rat Squad. The course is pristine. Great clubhouse and service. Well done to all staff responsible for the up keep.

Had to go and write the Moonstone regulating exams there. Wow the conference hall we had to write in had no air-conditioning so you have to sweet it out there for 3 hours, the tables and chairs came from Noah's Ark very low class unprofessional setting!

That is top-notch after game refreshments it has everything for golfers even learners restaurants etc

The rain started during our round of golf.We decided to stop due to the persistent rain.After a wait at the clubhouse we went to the pro shop to ask for refund or to ask for a re-schedule, the guy at the pro shop insisted that the course is playable & we should continue playing in the rain.That was a poor call the rain continued whilst we were there.They later realized that no one was going to continue playing,they offered everyone a reschedule.

Best service from pro shopVery accommodating and friendly. The course speaks for itself, challenging yet not out of reach for a lessexperien ed player. Notable the greenery alongside all fairways and a vibrant club house for your 19th hole check in!

Great layout. At the moment it is a bit wet so it plays long. The greens should kook great in 2 weeks time after the hollow tining
