Fantastic eatery in Melrose. Lots of seating options to choose from and the courtyard is quiet and secluded. Nice selected of items for breakfast and lunch. I had the eggs Benedict and cheesecake. Service was very quick.

From the outside, Arbour Café looks small and intimate but once you venture past a few tables and the open kitchen, the restaurant extends onto a quaint plant draped courtyard filled with the calming sound of running water from a grand water feature.From the instant you arrive to the moment you leave the cheerful and friendly staff are ready and eager to help at a moments notice.The menu caters to a wide range of tastes and appetites with dishes ranging from a fresh buttery croissant or a light gluten free galette stuffed with creamy wild mushrooms to the ‘magnifique‘ crispy duck confit with 5 spice cherry sauce. They have a fairly concise wine list (bubbly included), a few local craft beers and ciders as well as a selection of light refreshing cocktails.The food and service was outstanding and the team at Arbour Café are always willing to go the extra mile to make you feel special which makes it the perfect spot for special occasions.

I'm only giving this place a one star because I arrived to have breakfast at Arbour Cafe but they were closed.The Google business listing probably needs to be changed because this is the second time I've tried to eat here but was not able to.Based on other reviews I'm sure the place is amazing.

Absolutely appalled at how the manager /owner treats possible clients. Tried to see if we could book an event at Arbour Cafe a few weeks back and he was extremely rude and quite brash on the phone. I am disappointed. Such a pity!You have lost my support.

It's definitely a cute spot for the folks that like bottomless mimosas. It's also cute for those that just like having Sunday brunch at hidden cafes. My only thing is the courtyard needs to have proper umbrellas to shield the patrons from the relentless Joburg sun. Definitely coming back!

The staff were not only friendly and attentive, but they also displayed a level of professionalism that added to the overall high-quality experience.The highlight of our visit, however, was without a doubt the breakfast. Every dish we tried was a testament to the culinary expertise at Arbour Café. Attended a friends birthday here. Quaint little spot with a gorgeous outside area. Didn't get to try the menu but the Chocolate Brownies and the mini Prego rolls were delicious. The starter bruschetta were dry and bland sadly.Definitely wabt to go back for another meal.
