Dr Tonyane

The best decision I have ever made in my life living with anxiety was to go see Dr Tonyane. She is absolutely the best psychiatrist in the land. Very relatable, listens without imposing and makes you feel comfortable in her consultation room. She was able to diagnose and prescribe the best treatment within my hospitalization and out-patient process. The medication I'm on is an accurate diagnosis and I'm forever grateful that I'm able to do this life thing better. Thank you Dr Tonyane you're the best and an example of black excellence.

Horrible service from the doctor's receptionist as well as the doctor. No regard for their patients at all. Pitched for an appointment I'd confirmed 3 times only to find out that the receptionist has canceled it. Waited for the Dr to explain why this happened for 2 hours. When I enquired if the Dr still hadn't arrived the receptionist said no. I immediately walked to the parking area and saw the Dr's parking bay occupied and confirmed with the main entrance receptionist that the Dr has indeed arrived.Absolutely no regard for patients from Dr Gwen Tonyane and her receptionist.Don't go to Akeso Randburg if you require medical assistancePS. I see Dr Gwen Tonyane has responde citing medical and business best practice.You mention standard and medical practice but ignore the fact that your assistant bungled the first two attempts at booking the appointment which I brushed off. She also lied about sending me an sms as well as the fact that you had arrived on Wednesday morning. I have proof of all of this but hide behind medical and business practices when the both of you wasted my time.1. Did your assistant mention she didn't book the appointment when she was supposed to and I had to follow-up.2. Did she inform you that she wanted to slot me in on a Saturday when we agreed on Monday the 4th of April. Note I confirmed that this slot suits me.3. Did she inform you my appointment was moved from the 4th to 6th of April to accommodate you Dr Tonyane.4. Did she inform you that I confirmed the Wed appointment on the Monday without being prompted.5. Did she inform you that she lied about sending me an sms on Tuesday6. Did she inform you that she was flippant when I arrived at 8h30 on Wednesday.7. Did she inform you that I waited for 2 hours and she didn't once attempt to reschedule the appointment8. Did she inform you or were you involved in the lie about you not having arrived yet, but your car was parked and the entrance receptionist confirmed you were there.You could've kept your garbage dismissive response. You claim to care about people's mental health but don't even have the decency to engage a patient who waited for 2 hours.Luckily for me I was referred to one of your colleagues, Dr Melapi who's assistant treated me with the care and respect I would expect from someone working at a medical practiceYou and your assistant are horrible, horrendous and I've already communicated with Akeso and Netcare

Very professional and her patients well being comes first

Dr. Tonyane is not only a bona fide ROCK STAR, She has been my rock and compass for the last year. Except for her extraordinary knowledge of medicine she has an amazing way to make you feel like you are family. Thank you Dr.T for everything you have done and cannot wait to get to the endgoal with you.

Highly recommend Dr Tonyane. She is very passionate about her profession and the type of work she does. Her patients well-being comes first. #Healthy society with healthy minds.

Dr Tonyane is by far the best psychiatrist I've seen... She understands her patients and she makes sure that the well being of her patients are put first... I would recommend her to many people...

I hate writing bad reviews but in this case I do not know what else to do to get the attention of the Dr. office. I have sent numerous emails, tried to call the office on numerous times throughout the day but my efforts were met with no response. This lack of communication is costing me a lot of money.
