Takealot Cape Town Warehouse 1 (CPT DC)

I had to retract my 5 star review from 5 year ago. The service is deteriorating to a point where i will find new suppliers from items bought here. We buy a lot from Takealot, but they seems to only employ cheap and illiterate staff. You would have a ticket, and need to explain EVERYTHING to them from scratch, and then still have them mess it up. They sent me the wrong item, 3 weeks later, still unresolved, actually managed to make it worse. I offered to purchase the incorrect item, just send invoice and i'll pay, but send me the item i paid for. While i was out, the item was collected, and now it is gone (was a rare color watch, gift to my wife). Now, no response, still missing my watch.Do not support them, we got by without them, they have no interest in customer service, just in building more warehouses.

I ordered a cecil nurse office chair from takealotI didnt have any complaints about the chair itself.Fairly comfortable and all the rest.However last weekend I heard a strange sound and noticed my backrest seemed skew.The backrest is attached underneath the seat with 4 bolts that fit into grommets that are set into the wood and plastic.One of the bolt grommets had ripped out of the wood and torn through the plastic, meaning it no longer supported the backrest.I attempted to return the product but takealot rejected my return on the grounds that it was:damage arising from negligence

It was a bit difficult to find the entrance on Google (led me to the wrong side) but other than that, the place looks very nice and their system is up to date in terms of technology. The process of collecting my items went very smooth (quick and easy). Really impressed!

It was a breeze picking up our latest speaker stands. The staff were absolutely on point and didn't waste a second of time. Clear communication and received our goods in perfect condition.

Warning! Takealot use Mr D to deliver the orders. I was excited to receive my package the next day.I received a notification stating that my order will be delivered before 17:00.At around 15:00, I received a notification stating that my order was delayed and the reason given to me and Takealot was, No cash on delivery. That was a blatant lie! They never arrived. They tarnished my name at Takealot with this lie.I emailed Takealot and explained my concern.The response was shocking. It only said that the delivery was rescheduled for the next day.To me, this means that customer service is not the company's priority. That the company approves of lying to the customer.Don't use them. Why would you trust a liar? Way would u use a company that won't put U first?

The worst delivery people in the world. Claimed they tried to deliver my packages and I was not available to accept. Lies as I was at the address the whole day. Worst customer experience. Tried calling them but got told to just rearrange the delivery. If you buy from them go pick it up rather

I ordered something but delivery failed twice. The notes say that there was no one to collect it for both cases. But that is not possible. There was someone that been waiting to accept it for both days.So Takealot's solution is to send it back to the warehouse and refund me a part of what I've paid for it.Takealot is a scam! I can't wait for Amazon to launch in South Africa. That is going to be the end of Takealot.Amazon has amazing customer support and isn't trying to scam its clients. I can't say the same about Takealot.

I delivered my first shipment in person as a new seller. The people from entering the business park were extremely friendly. The experience not only met my expectations but exceeded in excellence. Well done Takealot for a very streamlined process. I look forward to a well organized business relationship.
