The 'professional' we were referred to is a well known and respected person with column inches in one of the popular local papers. She came highly recommended by a doctor we love and respect.To say we found her unprofessional and cold would be to understate the matter. THRICE on the trot, she cancelled our sessions at the last minute, while we were on the way to our appointment - and never with an explanation or apology. This was at the height of COVID when many of us were under extreme emotional pressure and stress - and hence our reason for seeing her.ZERO consideration for how her conduct made us feel. So, we decided to NEVER set foot in her practice and also spread the word about her lack of professionalism. BUT having spoken to a few other friends, I hear many medical practices in Gaborone do exactly the same thing. Crazy, especially considering the extortionate fees they charge!
