Disappointing. - inaccurate quote, no appointments scheduled. Maybe their efficient" customer service only applies and is afforded to certain people. This on top of requiring 80% payment BEFORE the job is even started. Definitely not recommended."

Very nice guys, but average customer service. They did come out to fix my pump (which was working), but needed some attention.

Really great service. I know in future where to go to when I am looking for parts to my baracuda and other. No pool place has given me the great service I received today and for this reason they are top class and stand out above the rest. Thanks you guys.

This team of two takes no responsibility for the quality of “advice” they give or the products they sell. As a returning client, I visit the shop with a bottle of slightly green, cloudy pool water which is duly tested. I buy the algaecide recommended by Chum Edwards in good faith. When it doesn’t work the first time, Chum advises, add more. When it doesn’t work a second time, Chum advises, add more. When it doesn’t work a third time, I suggest a replacement product or a credit. Imagine the outrage!. Why should I want that? Shouty and preachy language.“Nothing is guaranteed, it could be your chlorine, it could be your PH. It could be your filter, when last did you change the sand? Have you backwashed? It’s the weather, it’s the humidity. There’s no quick fix, pools are difficult, it’s been a difficult year”. Jaco now weighs in; I don’t understand why we should give you a credit. You’ve used the product! And best of all Chum informs me that if you go to the doctor and the pills don’t work, does the doctor give you a credit? I accept none of this. My alternative says Chum is to “walk away”, but wait, a customer has come into the shop. He must go now, will call me back. I am still waiting for that callback. What about a new scenario City Pools? When you sell a product it could go like this: “I recommend this, I can’t guarantee that it will work for you, but it’s the best we have at the moment.” I would then have understood my options better.Colleen Backstrom
