I have used the Photographer's Guide to both the Kruger and the Kgalagadi, on two occasions for each in the past few years. I cannot recommend them highly enough. These guides are absolute gems--and not just about the best places and times to take superb phtotpgraphs of South Africa's magnificent and precious wildlife. The guides have detailed maps, excellent descriptions of locations, hints about the type of game that might be seen in a given location, even recommendations on which hut to stay in! I first visited the Kruger with my parents in 1953 when I was just a boy and have returned many times. I thought I knew the KNP pretty well, but the guide has much much more information than I could ever have. As to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park, this was entriely new territory for me, and since my visits are from literally the other side of the world (Hawaii), I really did not want to waste our precious time by driving around aimlessly! Mario's guide was exactly what I needed and I was able to lord it over my Johannesburg friends by expropriating all his wonderful knowledge. Whether you are a serious phtographer or not, you really should acquire and make use of this excellent resource.

I have found this guide to be very useful for planning routes in these parks when visiting South Africa. You can never have too much help! Thanks

A very informative book with good maps, and routes as well as good photos and lots of photographic tips. This book help us a lot when visiting Kruger National Park finding good game viewing spots.

I have purchased every e-book that Mario and Jenny offer and also have purchased them for my friends that live in South Africa. Very informative, tons of information about every aspect of the Park, roads, time of day, where to park your vehicle and so much more related to photography, birds and animals! A must have for anyone entering the Parks! I highly recommend getting a copy of the Photographer's Guide to the Greater Kruger National Park, along with their other e-books for Etosha, Pilanesberg and the Kgalagadi.

We bought the Photographers Guide to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park as it was recommended by a friend. We have never regretted our decision and if you are remotely interested in photography in Kgalagadi, buy this e-book! It is full of hints and advise and will save you a lot of time that you might otherwise spend in the wrong places.
