I had a disappointing experience at Excentric, the hair salon in Cape Town, and feel compelled to share my thoughts. I have done extensive research online to find the perfect hair salon, and based on the glowing reviews, I decided on Excentric. I even sent reference photos over WhatsApp from Austria to confirm that the desired haircut and color were possible. I must say, Anita and Kirstin were some of the friendliest people we have ever met, and the salon itself is gorgeous. Unfortunately, the end result was not what I had envisioned.I am incredibly saddened that my hair did not turn out as well as the photos posted by other guests. What's more disappointing is that during our second visit, I was made to feel like I was exaggerating and not understanding. I believe it was just bad luck, but considering the high amount of money I spent and the unsatisfactory outcome, I cannot recommend the salon.

Hair disaster days before my wedding. After Salome ruined the colour I returned twice more in the week leading up to my wedding, to no avail.Salome assured me she could give me the colour I wanted but what I got was nowhere close. I went back twice more to have colour removal treatment where my ears, neck, cheek and eyelid were all BURNED from the chemical.Still for my wedding the colour was not right after going there three times and crying in her chair to fix her mistake. I went to Palladium (Cape Quarter) who were shocked - the man actually gasped when I took my beenie off (covered because of embarrassment).To this day I have not been reimbursed and it cost me over R5000.

Found this salon online and really loved the user friendly website. Businesses sometimes don’t realize how important that is nowadays! Went in for a trim and was greeted very well and taken to the shampoo station. The lady there was amazing and it was one of the best shampoo experiences I’ve had. Then, met with the lady that was going to trim my hair. She must have been having a bad day because her customer service was terrible. Didn’t really go over things with me before or during. As far as the salon goes though, I would come again! Just not with the person I got booked with my first time.
