BUCO East London Beacon Bay

I was offered assistance instantly by a lady who was very rude and spoke to me like I knew nothing about the products I intended to buy. I seriously would have preferred to have looked for my own supplies after such attitude. Don't offer your assistance if you cannot be civil. First time going into this store and I doubt I will ever go back despite their prices being decent.

Staff always friendly and willing to assist with any queries.

Had hmd wood cut there, but they could not finish intime.....they did deliver my parcel to me at Kei Mout at no cost 2 days later

Over the past year I have literally spent 100s of thousands of rands at this store, I had dealings with a manager that apparently has left. The past two days experiences have made me decide never to set foot into this store again. I called on two occasions to query on a product and was promised a sales person would get back to me, this never happened ( please note I am not East London based ) Finally this morning I got hold of a salesperson who's will to assist had failed him, he did however offer to ask his managers advise, I requested to rather chat to the manager myself. What followed was, whom I'm assuming to be the manageress? who I overheard telling him to tell me to check availability on the website. If one has ever used the Buco website one would know that it's user friendliness is actually worse than the staff and managemets will to assist. With much frustration I gave up...

Wow what a shocking experience. Not the first time either. The security guard thinks he owns the place and talks to you worse than a dog. That just sets everything into a terrible experience from there. I'll never be going back there until the security company gets changed to have a more enjoyable experience. On top of that the forklift drivers damage ceiling boards that should get loaded and add on a 30min delay having to look for undamaged stock to finally load. Shocking for a company like this.

Better processes need to be put in place as security empty your packet and go through every line item. Who actually is this being targeted? The customer or the staff?

They've got lots - at a price. The staff more than make up for the high pricing though with their helpfulness. Not to pull that down but there are more reasonable hardwares, with better prices and also have helpful staff. So I can't see what's their aim, I'll just go where the products cheaper.
