Not the best seafood in Pietermaritzburg. Fish is bland, sauces all taste like mayonnaise, and the rice is terrible.

Food not what I would expect from Skippers, chips either half fried/uncooked or burnt. Fishcakes more like potato cakes with fish flavouring. Parking a nightmare 16h00 to 17h30 and having a drive through Chicken licken next door makes it worse. Underground is dark and unwelcoming.

My daughter and I chose to have a sit in meal. Fish was done to perfection. Chips was awesome. Coleslaw impeccable. The best fish meal in pmb. Service was excellent. The store was immaculate.Why then have I given you 4 stars instead of the much deserved 5 stars?It is because of the noise level. Staff are standing next to each other and literally screaming and laughing and joking. A very jovial atmosphere indeed but not in a restaurant.

We ordered some hake, chips and prawns. It was Fantastic! The fish was cooked to perfection...moist and tender fried with a crispy crumb. The chips were also perfectly cooked...even the coleslaw was the best I've had in a long time. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend Skippers and can't wait to return for my next feast.

Overall poor quality of food. Fish had an almost sticky feel and as for those horrible chips, even Kara nichas couldn't do a worse job.Shop is clean and hygienic, staff are friendly and were wearing their masks/hair nets etc.The food is just disappointing and needs improvement.

I used to enjoy fish & chips at Skippers both Southgate and Commercial Street in PMB, this evening I bought some from Woodburn, the whole meal was such a flop, the chips were half fried and the fish had too much flower that you'd swear it was a fat cake, no spices offered only the sauces...the staff is nice and the restaurant is clean, something needs to be done about the food, you can't expect customers to eat tasteless food...

Had found an eyelash in one of my calamari ring.When I called the manager, she was very accommodating and replaced my entire meal and added an extra hake.The staff are friendly and the restaurant is neat.Personally, the quality of the food, from the chips to the fish and sauces were absolutely amazing!

Theee worst! Waited for an hour for my food the people waiting, the line was out by the parking lot no one knew what they were supposed to be doing, the kitchen staff were very laid back almost didn't care we had been there for so long, I will never go back my fries were burnt nxaa!
