Rochester Northgate

I bought Zara couches in May/June 2017 from Jonathan and they were suppose to be genuine leather uppers but they are peeling off. I went to report this in the shop March 2019 but the new manager Keith just dismissed me and told me he can't help me. The manager(Jonathan)who sold the furniture to me is no longer there (Keith was not helpful at all) he could not help me as the store changed their system so he doesn't have records anymore, the guy was not helpful at all. I feel that i wasted my money as its not even two years but their supposedly leather" is now like this. Why if the shop changes system that should adversely impact on customers? Rochester just reaped me off

When buying furniture, the salesman and saleswoman did not keep is informed correctly, as to when it can be delivered or how. Their only saving grace was the person we dealt with that really tried to correct his colleague's mistake by getting 3rd party couries/deliverers. Once delivery was completed, the items were in the same condition as advertised on showroom, which is basically brand new.

Rochester is the worst place to buy from online. My Word! I purchased a desk from them in July. It was fine for a few months. Until it simply collapsed whilst in use in October. I had to log a call and was instructed to send pictures via WhatsApp. No feedback for weeks. Went to the store near me and was told as I bought online the store cannot handle the issue. The salesperson helped by calling head office and call center agent said 'The supplier inspected and determined this was customer fault.' NO ONE did any inspection !!! To this day, I have no feedback. Useless store and would have been better if I bought from a Game / Coricraft (then atleast I would get a refund due to defect)!!! WILL NOT buy from them again

Paid R22500 cash for a lounge suite on 5th Sept. The suite was delivered on 9th Sept and the couches were assembled incorrectly with the recliners on the wrong seats.. This was pointed out to the team but they argued and refused to fix their mistake and rushed off site. Reported to Sabelo at Northgate branch and sent photos to no avail. Reported to head office and they also don't seem to care. I wish that I had read these reviews before spending my money with this company. Don't make the same mistake that I did!!!

Pathetic service. Recieved the wrong dinning set. Was promised delivery of the correct set on several occasions. It's been months and we have not received any feedback. No call. No emails. Even after several complaints and emails sent to the branch and head office. Disgusting. Will never use them again and if you are looking for good servic, I do not suggest Rochester.I cannot seem to respond to your post. I do not wish to share such private information on Google. Please provide me with an email address where I can forward you the required info.

Shocking after sales service! Reported faulty product under warranty in April. They only collected for the repair in October. Has been delivered to me twice without the repair being completed properly. Still waiting after two months. Don't waste your money here

If you want to be stressed buy from them. Delivery was very late. The delivery guy did not assemble anything just dropped and went. Tried calling and he was rude and shouting. Called the warehouse the lady was very rude. Customer service was kept on hold for 10 minutes… honestly put your money somewhere else. Rochester is the worst furniture shop l have seen my whole life..

I purchased a lounge suite at Northgate branch on 6 March 2017. I only received my lounge suite on the 18th of May. Due to the long delay in delivery as I was told that they went on a new system and then the furniture was delivered and not scotchguarded. Jonathan came out and scotchguarded the furniture and I was told for all the inconvenience they will give me a refund of R1500.00. Since then a Manager by the name of Piet was in charge and shortly thereafter replaced by Monica that was transferred to Strubensvalley. Since then the branch has a Manager by the name of Keith. I have spoken to Keith on several occasions about my refund. STILL NOT RECEIVED IT!!!! WE ARE NOW IN FEBRUARY 2019.I am now sitting with a Richmond Recliner that does not function. I have phoned Keith on th 29th of January 2019 in which he returned my call on the 30th of January. He told me that they will uplift the recliner and have it fixed. Since then I have phoned again on the 5th of February 2019 and left a message with Andile for Keith to phone me as I want to know when are they going to uplift the recliner and replace the mechanism so that it can work again.I FIND ROCHESTER SERVICE VERY POOR AND I WILL BE LODGING A COMPLAINT ON HELLO PETER

Terrible Company, Terrible Service. They simply don't care. Paid R20 000 for brand new recliners, the recliners don't wok. Its being almost 2 weeks of waiting for an exchange and all I get is empty promises. If I could give you zero stars I would. Please save yourself the headache and go and spend your hard earned money somewhere else because If you buy from this company you will regret it.

We where sold on all the great benefits of the leather protection add on and how it would be easy and safe. Took over a month for the people from leatherguard to come spray my lounge suit, after which there was already a small stain on the seat. To remove this leatherguard completely destroyed the leather leaving it discoloured and changed the texture of that piece of the seat so R33 000 lounge suit ruined in less than 45 days.Rochester has seemingly washed their hands of this issue leaving me to pursue legal action
