Camped at Sodwana Hengel klub in Golela, at Jozini. Brilliant basic campsite, has electricity, swimming pool, small shop for basics, ice, charcoal and bait. Fuel not available however but very affordable and on the doorstep of SA’s best tiger fishing venue.

We were looking for a place to camp for the night and were heading to the nature reserve, but they do not take camping guests anymore and the security guard pointed us here. (It borders the reserve) Nothing spectacular, but friendly hosts, well stocked kiosk and ablutions were clean, what more does one need?

Mediocre accommodation that has so much potential. Our fridge didn't work, no dustbins were emptied in our entire stay, no washing up available. With better management this place could be a gem.

10 tigers before 10 in the morning, 2kg, dam is full, fish 8m + water

We managed to catch some fish but nothing big. It was still a nice weekend on die dam. Worth the effort.

Very afforedable and safe place to stay. Next to dam inside Pongola nature reserve. 4 Km to drive to fishing spot. Slipway available for your boats.

Good clean facilities, small shop to buy bread, cooldrink, charcoal and fishing sipplies.Right next to the Pongola Poort game reserve northen gate
