So you want solar, chances are is that its going cost you a pretty penny and when you spend that kind of money kind of expect the service to come with it – especially when it’s a 10/15 year commitment. Most places I found will do an online call and an off-site evaluation BUT I had specific needs/questions as I had a recessed cupboard I wanted to use for the inverter and batteries so they needed to see it. I found SAIEC in an article, sent through my questions and within no time Danielle gave me a ring. She came through, did an inspection, answered all my questions and gave some solid advice, never pushing for the max price anything, letting the needs outline the potential solutions an let me choose. I was worried about the heat and asked for an extractor fan, no problem; I wanted a smart wifi geyser timer, no problem; even at install there was wiring in the attic I didn’t like, no problem. Any issue or need I could pop a message and she’d get back to me in no time. They were in constant communication and wasn’t in the dark at any stage (but not overbearing). Even now they are monitoring my usage and intermittently calibrating to cater for our consumption and the seasons, they registered me with the City and issued a COC all included. You paying a decent amount no matter who you choose, I did pay a little more of a premium here but the most important thing I bought was peace of mind & trust, which to me is invaluable. Don’t risk an expensive regret with fly by night contractors, get the good ones. Thank you, Danielle & Daniel, you guys didn’t an amazing job!

When deciding to invest in solar it, in my view, it is neccessary to choose a company that not only provides a tailored made solar system but also provides after installation support.In 2022, my husband and I decided to explore the possibility of solar. I researched a number of companies, the solar systems they offer and particularly their after care service. I found the SAIEC. What drew me this company was the reviews, so I requested a quote.Having request a quote, in 2022, I was put off by the high cost. The consultant offered to do an energy assessment. We debate our needs and found a pricing model and solar system that fitted our budget.The steam line installation process and the quality of the solar system and components exceeded my expectations. After our solar installation, they gave us time to get use to adapting our lives to solar. They needed to adjust our system slightly to maximize our solar electricity generation.As South Africa faces Stage 6, we don't feel it and we save on our electricity bill. The cost of the solar installation more or less matched our electricity bill but we have stable electricity and no loadshedding. When SA is ready, also be able to add to the supply of sustainable energy, however we currently don't have that option.People wonder about solar generation in winter: On cold Cape Town days, we generation around 8kws, which is more than enough to keep every thing in our home on. We have a solar geyser, a borehole and a swimming pool pump, which I don't use in winter.In addition, we have an app so we can monitor our generation and our usages.Extremely pleased with the product, service delivery and after installation support from this company.I have no regrets on this investment.
