The St James on Venice
We stopped here with friends to be a part of the market. The ambiance was great and the goods on display also very nice and well priced. There was a few food stalls as well. The weather however was not so welcoming as it rained so much. Overall a good night out

Very friendly front desk staff they went overboard to make our stay comfortable. Thank you Thabile. The place is as advertised on the net. I would advise though when booking please do not take room 8 it is by the steps if you are a light sleeper like me you'll be up most of the night the stairs are noisy.

The St James on Venice
For those of you reminiscing about the no longer available Audacia Manor Boutique Hotel, this is a spot worth considering. Especially for the Shipping industry executives, and others, not wanting to be caught in the bustle of the city, whilst being within ear shot and reach of the Harbour, or perhaps you're here for Florida's night life? The age old St James is small & cozy, catering for both.

This is the best hotel in Durban, no cap.The rooms are beautiful, breakfast is delicious- with a variety to choose from, and chefs that are so nice and willing to take any special orders you have.The two front desk ladies, Thabi and Shirley are the most sweet and lovely ladies I met in Durban.The housekeeping ladies are also so sweet.In fact, every staff at the hotel is awesome and I had a lovely and personalised experience here.I will definitely be staying here when I visit again.Well done to St James on Venice and its entire staff. Thank you for being awesome.BestOnyinye

The nicest boutique hotel in Durban.Very personalised services and an awesome breakfast. Easy to access any part of the city and close to all the hippiest restaurants

The St James on Venice
I booked with one receptionist and when I called to confirm the booking another did not have my booking so I made a second booking and that was messed up as well. On the evening of my arrival they had no room reservation. The manager said she would investigate and get back to me but I have not heard back since . Get a reservation number when making a booking.
