Fairways Boutique Hotel

Had a great stay at very affordable cost. Certainly value for money. The host was very friendly and efficient, always available and going above and beyond to cater for all our needs. We have surely bookmarked this for our next visit to KZN.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Place was easy to find. Super hot water :). Breakfast was lovely and chilled which you could have in the dinning hall or on your balcony at your room. Wifi isn't that fast so Netflix was a bit of a problem. The beds and linen were comfy. Nice bathroom setup. Very spacious.

Would not recommend.It is very underwhelming compared to what is shown on booking.com. No propper maintenance and cleanliness not that great. One needs a car when staying here otherwise you are far from most things.We rebooked another property because we were that unhappy and got accomodation that justified the price being asked per day, unlike this property.Only good thing about this property is the manager Marthie. We could not find any fault with her and feel sad that people have to look into her eyes after being disappointed by the accomodation's quality.I would not call this a boutique hotel :(

You get so much more than you pay for!Wonderful little hotel perfectly located within Salt Rock.Clean and modern, with everything you might need for a short stay.Stayed in Room 5, which has a large and luxurious bathroom (shower is AMAZING).Only slight negative is that the wifi is a little weak.Will be back

Accommodation was good but the breakfast had to be left one side. Two crumpets with no butter and a piece of bacon dumped on top does not make a breakfast. There were other choices but the eggs looked like they were cooked earlier and reheated. Thats what you get when you place your order the night before. Some advice. You have a kitchen with a hot plate. Rather cook the eggs as the customer orders. We dont mind waiting for freshly cooked food.

Place is adequate, 5 minutes walking distance to the beach front, and the staff was very friendly. However we didn't get our deposit for the keys as stated. We tried enquiring and never received feedback.

The pictures online does not do justice as all the rooms different. Our room was modern and neat. The breakfast was well prepared and organized. The pool area is neat. The premises is well kept and safe. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and attended to our needs promptly. The beach is within walking distance. Variety of restaurants nearby. Thank you for making our weekend a beautiful experience

Was rather underwhelmed by this place on arrival versus what the Booking.com site had shown. Renovations didn't help my initial impressions. Room was comfortable and had the basics though the smart tv was a good thing to point out. Had to enter the room from outside and actually slipped as it rained and I was going heading downstairs. Site says beachfront property but it is actually an 800m walk to the beach.

The first thing I saw, was that there was no side table or lamp on one side of the bed or plug point.2. Only one of the two plug points on the right side of the bed (by the sliding door) worked. This is the only plug point to charge cellphones or plug in a hairdryer. I could not see myself in a mirror to do my hair.3. The room was dirty, chocolate wrapper and Lego on the floor, a two inches of old burnt out candle in a drawer and a dirty bath.4. There were very stained gowns and one had a used tissue in the pocket. I gave them to Martie and she never brought clean ones.5. Toilet seat stained and dirty. The carpet is filthy.6. Bath plug impossible to use. It had a hairpin put through the plastic.7. Luxury suite with a double bed was actually two single beds pushed together with a split in the middle with a duvet that was too small.8. Every time Martie changed her channel on her TV ours would change. I brought this to her attention and she said ‘something was wrong’. Three channels only. Despite my husband’s request to put one channel onto CNN and we’re advised by Martie that ‘the owner’ would do this, it was not done.9. The air conditioner started making a big noise at three o’clock in the morning and we had to switch it off despite it being humid.10. I had a cold breakfast with undercooked eggs. The table setting was literally thrown together and the table rocked around spilling our juice.It was in the end a very upsetting experience. I feel cheated out of a happy New Years!!
