We spent a lovely and very comfortable weekend during our December holidays. The owners were very helpful and accommodating even climbing up a tree in their garden to pick us the most delicious apricots. Lovely veggie patch too where we could pick veg for our supper.

A clean inviting stop over in Prince Albert. Megan was wonderful and the cherry on the top was picking fresh salad from the organic garden. Thanks

Very enjoyable stay. Rooms spotless and comfortable. Owners made us feel very welcome. Tasty jams and preserves for sale. Quiet no road noise. Will stay there again.

We drove in and were greeted by some of the most friendly people ever, we proceeded to be helped with settling in and unpacking. The house was clean and comfortable, however there wasn’t much space to pack stuff as most surfaces were covered with bits and bobs. Other than a little clutter, it was one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed in.We got the opportunity to walk in a huge vegetable garden maintained by the owner, and even pick as many vegetables as we wanted to. There were goats to be fed and chickens to be seen. The pool was lovely and refreshing, if a bit small, and there were lovely places to ride our bicycles. All the guests share a braai area and it is lovely getting to know new people. There are a small honesty bar and a TV in an upstairs room for watching sporting events, etc. but we didn’t make use of that because there were far more interesting things to do.

Karoo Kaya is highly recommended for a pleasant stay, friendly service with good knowledge of the town and surrounding area. The cottages are spacious and Karoo style decorated. Very quiet at night for a peaceful sleep surrounded by a mosquito net that we found indispensable. Extras that we did not expect: coffee, tea, ice, sugar (white), rusks and milk as well as free range supply of fruit and veggies when available. The off-street parking is on the property, but your vechile is out of sight.I would say that this place can be wheelchair friendly, but first discuss with the owner.A big positive: we could take our little dog along. This was a blessing. The dog was also welcomed at most places in town. Please take note: there is a TV room and no TV's in the cottages itself. Unfortunately, the one negative is that the wifi is very weak. Perhaps Megan can look into it to boost the signal. But, we would return and will recommend Karoo Kaya to friends and family.

Real little hidden gem. Kids loved it. You can go and pick fruits and veg in the gardens or feed the goats.
