This is the worst place you can take your pet! I took my puppy here and the next day, the spca was called on my mom and I because we wanted to take my puppy since the dr that was treating him was racist, disrespectful and had absolutely no communication skills. My puppy was put down unwillingly, as if he was just something that wasn’t important. I’m very disappointed and disgusted at the service I got here. I hope and pray that no one has to lose their pet because of their of skin. I brought my puppy to them to get help not to have him taken away from me! I left my puppy there fully functional and playful, the next morning I’m being told to put him down meanwhile he was put in a cage outside! Absolutely disgusting obviously he was going to be silent because he was in an uncomfortable environment alone and scared. All that they cared about was money! Absolutely disappointing. Find somewhere you can trust with your pets, definitely not here.

We are new to the area and had the worst experience at this practice. If you like a vet that is compassionate towards the patient (your pet!) then this is not the vet for you.

Great staff. They prefer you to book an appointment but will take walk-ins if possible. I didn't wait long. Lots of choice for food, treats, grooming aids, toys etc for pets.

Had the worst experience with Dr Hogan earlier this year. My dog was experiencing a lot of pain after having a bit of a clumsy fall. As a responsible owner I called ahead to make an appointment and also let them know that my dog is not friendly to other pets that he isn't familiar with, I also let them know his breed and that he is very friendly to humans. When I got there I went in 1st without my dog to make sure that there are no other animals around and asked if I could bring him in. The front staff was very friendly and played with my boy, regardless how good an animal can be at home going to the vet can be very scary to them. Dr Hogan was consulting, she was very cold towards my boy, making no attempt to ease his anxiety. He then saw his reflection on the door and barked at himself. Dr Hogan acted as if it is her 1st hearing a dog bark, she started blocking her ears and making her face like she was very annoyed. She bearly examined him and was not even interested in our concerned. I did have to take him back for an xray which was the worst day of my life not knowing how my dog is being treated especially after the treatment he got the 1st time. After the results came in that was the last!! I took my dog to another vet who took time to treat my dog and my dog is always happy going there.

Excellent service from Hillcrest Veterinary Hospital.On a recent long weekend saturday, our BoerbullX became very sick. We called for telephonic consultation, person who answered was very sympathetic and gave some advice. The following day we rushed our dog through. She was assessed by Dr Imke who recommended putting her on a drip. Test results were inconclusive but our pet was very very ill. She was kept comfortable and twice daily we received updates from staff & Dr Pieter.A big shout out to Dr Imke, Dr Nicky, Sifiso, Libby, Charleen and the rest of this amazing team.It was not a cheap week but professionals who cared, did what they are passionate about. Medical care for humans & medical care for animals work on the same principal.

Terrible service from this hospital, their lack of care and experience resulted in my dog being misdiagnosed. This hospital is money driven and do not actually pay attention to the needs of the animal. You people should realize that we entrust you with the lives of our animals, we are not equipped to know what is right and wrong when it comes to their health, we look to you for guidance and then to come and misdiagnose an animal. Hire people with experience and proper qualifications. Do not play with the lives of innocent animals. You don't even deserve 1 star.

Words can not say how thankful we are towards dr Nikki Hogan, dr Moola and dr Yomela. U never gave up on our beautiful giant Schnauzer, Dante and managed to pull him through. U worked as a team and discussed his diagnosis and treatment together The staff were friendly and accomodating.Absolutely spotless and higienic practice.Baie, baie dankie to you all there

I'll NEVER take any animal especially my dogs to them EVER AGAIN. So uncaring, so novice, so unapologetic. They killed my dog, didn't do the correct procedure the first time had to bring him back the next day and they literally killed him. This is the second dog they've misdiagnosed and killed! Worst vets EVER and a total rip off!!

Excellent specialised vet and the only place that I take my cats to. The doctors are amazing, the reception staff are friendly, and the assistants etc are all amazing. Highly recommended.

I love this Clinic. Dr Moodley is amazing and took great care of my hamster and my rat! Anybody who says this vet is not professional and compassionate is probably not looking after their animals properly. They have their limits picking up after slack animal owners. I have been going there for 20 years and never a step missed EVER! Great work guys!
