FLORIDA LICENSING DEPARTMENT, GAUTENG. THEFT BY PEOPLE POSING AS WORKERS!!!My sons were just robbed there after a worker" first told them that the system shows there is R11000 in fines outstanding. They went there to do change of ownership from their dads name to theirs on the 2 cars. We checked the paymyfines site and it showed nothing is outstanding. Then the "worker" said oh sorry then its R4700 to do change of ownership and they must pay cash because the system is off line. They went to draw the money and when they got back inside

The service by the cashiers and staff is good... unless there is loadshedding!. When there is loadshedding no payments can be made, so it's a standstill. Rather do your eye test elsewhere and just come with the certificate. DO NOT ENTERTAIN PEOPLE WHO CLAIM THEY WORK THERE. Do not talk to the people at the gate. Head in and only speak to the people inside the staff offices and at cashier seats. There are a lot of scammer just lurking- offering to fast track your things. Do not fall for it. Be warned.

Great great service! - just note!!! no cash only card machines.Arrived the stated 1 hour early and was guided in and through with great friendly smiles.Eye test was quick and professional friendly service. And paid even quicker and easier.Husband will be renewing his there.

The service on the INSIDE is good but there are plenty of scammers on the outside. They catch you off guard especially if you are in a hurry and just want to be on your way. Please, please be careful of these people, their story sounds very convincing until they start asking you for a ridiculous amount of money being the 'fines" that you owe.Although there are Metro cops are outside the premises

I booked a slot online and showed up about 75 minutes early (they recommend arriving 60 minutes before your allotted time). I originally put the address given on the website into the GPS, but there was nothing at that location. Searched for Florida DLTC, and Google Maps found it easily. There was ample free parking and no lines to get a form.Once that was filled in, I had to wait less than 5 minutes to see a consultant for the electronics. I brought an eye test certificate with me, so didn't need to do their eye test, but I'm not sure it was worth the extra R99 I paid at an optomotrist.If you're not also getting a temporary license, you don't need to bring any ID photos - they take your photo and thumb prints at the same machine that does the eye test.The longest wait was for a cashier, but even then I was done in under 15 minutes. NOTE: they only accept card payments.I was impressed by the clean facilities. And the online booking makes the whole process much less painless. I was out of there well before my appointed time slot

I wish I could give 0 stars. The service was absolutely terrible. I was shouted at and threatend by one of the staff at the till. The entire facility is filled to the brim with scams. I don't recommend visiting.

Corrupt place where driving schools seem to get their way without standing in queuesPassing money and food to employeesI wonder why their isn’t any cctv aroundI can live with load sheddingBut I cannot live with corruption of this degreeRude civil servantsBrought my son for a learners licenceHe has learnt a lot about how government officials work, only with handouts whilst us law abiding citizens wait.Whilst driving schools are a law unto themselves and the government officials none the better

Loads of people ask questions before entering the parking lot blocking the entrances. People inside got very bad attitude and act like they are doing you a favor. Got no backup generator. So when power is off the cashiers stand up and walk out. Have to wait till power is back on before anything gets done. Overall very disappointing experience

If I could give 0 stars I would. There’s a scam running rampant there and it is known, but no one is doing anything about.When you get there. Someone will come to you and tell you they work for the traffic department. They’ll tell you about a new system to decrease lines, where they take your details/copy of ID and someone inside will verify everything and call you.The person ‘inside’ will call you and confirm your details (they already have a copy of your ID.) They’ll lie about you owing tickets, usually large sums and that you have to pay before you can renew your license. If you question anything, they’ll threaten to suspend your licence.They’ll further lie and say that their machine are not working so you have to pay cash. If you’re unlucky they’ll succeed and scam you your money.People who work at the traffic department know that this is happening. everyone knows, the cops, the cashiers, the security and no one will do anything to help you. All this happens infront of them and they do to help you. They’ve confirmed that this has happened to other people.When you get to the department, don’t talk to anyone. Just go straight inside
