Night nurses are incredibly loud and mostly non-responsive to patient calls for attention. Many nurses are downright rude and should never be employed in a position of patient care. Facilities are fairly modern. There are some genuinely professional Occupational Therapists, with just one terrible exception.Netcare has serious issues with properly trained nursing staff. If you or someone you know needs some form of physical rehabilitation, I strongly recommend that you shop around first.

Professional and competent doctors,Caring and proactive nurses, who engage their patients with empathy.Empathic therapists, with the necessary insights and strength of character.Solid and well tended infrastructure. Spacious, airy, inviting.I suppose some more care could be taken in keeping hygiene standards, but then this is one of the basic weak spots in every clinic.Another classical weakness is communication of medical details to family and affiliated, but again, this is a two way road.As in every clinic, some nurses are *always* there, tending to the patients and trying their level best to ensure comfort and security, while for others, being a nurse is just a job and they might as well be tending shelves at Woolworths. Harsh, but true.

I can't say much about the nursing staff. Sometimes I didn't see the doctor in days. When I got Covid they sent me to Milpark hospital for an operation without getting my results first and left me there for days.

Staff are absolutely horrible. They try and hide patients in order to milk the workman's compensation fund for as much money as possible. They keep patients as prisoners. The superintendent had to be called in order for me to see my employee. The social workers do their level best to convince patients to insitute claims against the fund for money even when the patient does not want to.

Physiotherapist was on point, I think her name was Michelle, the place itself was horrible, from the dirty toilets and bathrooms to the food, even getting drinking water was a problem, I wanted to leave first day of admission. Some days the bed linen wasn't changed, some of the very ill patients were left unattended for hours. I stuck it out for 2 weeks just for the physiotherapy, then in the middle of freezing July, peak of Covid 1st wave they implemented some rule to turn off all the air conditioners and have all the hospital windows opened for 24 hours, I asked the doctor to discharge me 3 days early.

Thank you to all the staff , nurses , doctors and therapists . I cannot thank you enough for taking care of Francois the way you did. Your facility is spotlessly clean and all the staff are friendly , professional and warm. Your facility , even though a little old , is of World Class standard. Your response to any request or question was immediate and informative . A person never felt as though anything was ever too much . What can I say … you guys were magic and restored my faith in our health system . Milpark Hospital on the other hand , except for a few gems , can come and take lessons from your facility on how to deal with a patient’s loved ones , to greet , even if it is a stranger , to properly liaise with the families and tell loved ones exactly what’s going on regarding the way forward . They have no clue !! Instead the doctors ( except Dr Laparelie ) brush you off because everyone is soooo busy !!! You daren’t complain because you verbally get scolded and made felt like an idiot in front of strangers . No kindness there I’m afraid . So thank you Aucklandpark Rehabilitation Centre , we adore you and Thank You to each and everyone.

The service is horrible especially if a patient is black and has serious illness such as brain injury and stroke they take advantage don't bath them. They neglect them when you raise the issue with the head of the department nothing is than. My mother was there and mistreated when I go and check her she's dirty and smells. I hate that place is disgusting. But her speech therapist Jessica was the the best and kitchen staff. Please Minister of health you need to monitor this institutions.

My advice to anyone looking to use this facility- STAY AWAY! I am appalled at the lack of taking responsibility for their neglect of ensuring the safety of patients under their care. My brother went to this facility- I wish we had read the reviews before sending him there. They are NOT good. He had spinal surgery so he was not moving around. He contracted COVID in their care and they are not prepared to take ANY responsibility. They are trying to pin the blame on the very few visitors which have and can guarantee is and was NOT COVID positive. Instead of having rehabilitation, he has been and still is in ICU since 21 February 2022 thanks to their negligence. Their attitude stinks and will not take any responsibility. Please stay away from this facility!
