THE BRIGHT IVORY

I had the privilege of presenting a workshop today on melody writing at the Bright Ivory Music school. I was warmly welcomed by the owner, Roelof Strydom. Everything was well set up. The music school has a professional atmosphere, yet relaxed. Working with students and teachers were a delight. It is a foward moving school with lots of initiative and innovative ideas. There are something for all musicians. Really a place I can recommend for learning different instruments and theory!

My daughter has started with guitar lessons at Bright Ivory and she really loves the lessons each week. The focus is to learn the guitar to play for enjoyment. Both teachers she has had so far has really made it fun, teaching her the songs she like and inspiring her. Thank you Roelof, Damien and Louise! We love your music school!

There are some great teachers who were suited for my kids. I love how accommodating they were to requests of changing what instrument to learn when my son wanted to try something else. The transition was smooth!

From enquiry until we finally left, the team at Bright Ivory was incredible. 5 star service with a smile, 5 star coaching.

The Bright Ivory is a home away from home; a special place of music and magic that I am lucky to have included in my musical experience.

Bright Ivory is a great music school. We have two children aged 8 and 10 takings piano lessons with Roelof and both made good progress over the years with them.

I joined Bright Ivory not very long ago to learn how to play the violin and initially I was nervous about having a male teacher due to past experiences with male teachers, but let me tell you Jabu is professional and a gentleman. Jabu explains everything in a very easy way to understand and he is very patient. Thank you Bright Ivory Music School and Jabu! I will definitely be back!

Subtle racist tone from supervisor Roelof Strydom with a lack of conflict resolution skills. I have experienced poor administration - telephone numbers outlined on invoice and statements are invalid and no emergency contact details. I have removed my children on account of the above statement . The service is bad and there is no regard for customer service. Defensive and offensive attitude, opposed to simply listening and taking accountability. No diversity in the business from teachers to administrative staff - this is concerning considering the cosmopolitan students within the school. Hope this helps parents from different races and backgrounds, looking for a friendly, multi-cultural learning environment.

Awesome music school! My son loves his guitar lessons and he has progressed so well. The teachers really love what they do and it shows!

My 2 kids enjoy having Piano Lessons with teacher Karin. They look forward to every lesson.
