The road to this place is terrible, there's also no reception at all or no shops or fuel stations nearby, you basically in the middle of nowhere! Then the entrance to Batelur is another story, if you don't drive a bakkie or SUV do not go to this place the gravel road is a long drive and really not appropriate for cars.

Beautiful setting, incredible birds and rock pools to swim in. Hikes are well established and there are a variety of trails (9) ranging from a few hours to three days. We stayed in the spacious Mountain Villa with incredible views and a swimming pool. Bird watcher's heaven. Go for walks early in the morning to catch the Zebra's, Giraffes and other wildlife.

Enjoyable getaway in the bush. Stunning views and birdlife. We stayed at Mispel Cottage. It was basic as stated on website, but we had everything we needed.Hikes were good although some places are not so clearly marked. The host did recommend using GPX app which should help, but I did not have time to figure it out before we went. Be sure to take enough water on your hike. Loved the rock pools!Hosts went through a lot of trouble to make sure we have all the necesarry information.Will definately recommend them.
