To me De Toren is one of the finest producers of red wine in South Africa. Do not doubt, go visit and buy the wine. You will not look back, been supporting them for many years and dont see that changing at all

My expectations were exceeded! Attention to detail in everything. We were given a wonderfully informative tour which gave us a greater appreciation during the tasting. We were lucky got to experience the owner's exclusive tasting room downstairs.

We arrived just after 4 (they say they close at 5) and were told by an unmasked, unenthused employee that their entirely empty tasting room was fully booked. Indeed, the three cars in their parking lot spoke to just how overwhelmed they must have been. We were told to make a booking, despite their website saying we don't need to make a booking. We were also encouraged to phone ahead, something we did on that day, multiple times, with no one answering the phone. We've been looking forward to them for a while, now, not so much.

Beautiful place, but a sign saying wine tastings on appointment only" on the road up to the cellar would have been nice
