We went for a wine tasting experience at the winery today and we’re looked after by a vitner by the name of Charlo , can I say that we have visited many vineyards in Southern Africa and Charlo was the most accomplished host we have had , extremely knowledgable about not only the wines but the complete area and a very nice guy to boot which made the experience all the more , a credit to the vineyard Mike viv Graham and Elaine . England

Beautiful settings, well worth the visit and reasonably priced wines. The wine tasting was professional and full of interesting information, as well. Tranquil settings and nice clean shopping area. Lovely farm vibe, as you travel through, to reach the wine tasting. Lots of activities as well, on offer

Our meals was very well (excellent) presented and delicious. Manager, Sean Louw, and his friendly staff delivers an excellent and professional service. Restuarant is always neat and clean, quick service, its always a pleasure to go there.Thank you for the excellent service and wonderful food.

What a wonderful experience! Warm, friendly and knowledgable staff! Had a very informative tasting experience filled with laughter. Lunch at the restaurants was super too. Beautiful, friendly , laid back atmosphere. Well worth the visit! ❤

Under rated gem of a place with beautiful gardens and in winter a cosy fireplace.Staff friendly and portion size ample.Great kiddies menu!!

Backsberg has a beautiful venue along with the museum. The service is very friendly and knowledgeable. This was the perfect last stop on the wine tram. The wine and brandy tasting was fun as well.

A good wine estate to visit. The first great thing about this estate is it has a restaurant that serves lots of good dishes wether you are just pickish or need something more substantial. It great to wander around and look at all the vintage wine equipment.. The wines are decent and it is well worth a visit.
