The Ecotreehouse

We had a wonderful stay at the Ecotreehouse!Such a treat to be in an off-grid house in such a beautiful setting. Highlight definitely has to be sitting in the wood fired hot tub under the stars.Thank you for a truly magical and relaxing stay!

We had such a wonderful stay last weekend at Eco Tree House. The house and surrounding are absolutely beautiful. It was such a lovely relaxing weekend away, I just could have sat on the front porch and stared at the view all day. The tree house is perfectly kitted out for self catering and has wonderful amenities that we enjoyed like the sauna and hot tub. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend it to possible future guests thinking of visiting. Thanks again for being such wonderful hosts and making our stay so special.

Loved this place. Johan is a great host and built this awesome treehouse by himself and continue to make the place even better. It's a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery around you. Great base if you want to explore the area around Swellendam or Drive down to De Hoop. For horse lovers there are also five horses which you can take for a ride around the area.

What a breath of fresh air! Very peaceful surroundings with loads of wild life around. The trees house is very comfortable and well equipped. The sauna is an absolute treat. Great host! Will definitely be visiting again.

What a beautiful 3 day stay at this gorgeous place! With the backdrop of the majestic Langeberg Mountains and the soundtrack of hadedas, weaver birds, peacocks and chirping frogs, it is easy to leave the stresses of modern day life behind and begin to unwind.The treehouse is bright, comfortable, airy and has everything you need with lovely personal touches. Great to be able to choose between an indoor or outdoor shower and while a sauna is not 'my thing' I would imagine it being fabulous for those who enjoy. The view from the balcony is sublime, taking in meadows with horses, dams, trees and the indigenous garden crammed with aloes and succulents.Johan and Jenni are attentive hosts and very willing to share local knowledge or suggestions of places to eat or explore.Will most definitely be back!

We spent five heavenly days at the Ecotreehouse. Perfect weather, amazing views of the mountain, wonderful bird life and friendly horses on our doorstep.We had everything we needed in the stylish and cleverly designed treehouse. It is spacious and airy but still cosy during the chilly nights. The solar powered hot tub under the stars was a unique and memorable experience.Our hosts were friendly and extremely accommodating - nothing was too much effort. It was lovely to stay in a place where the well-being of the environment and our beautiful surroundings was prioritised.We can't wait to return!
