The Lakeside Camp site is really lovely and should be a peaceful haven. Unfortunately people dont adhere to the No Music and Quiet after 10 rules, which spoils an otherwise amazing experience.

We stayed in one of the lakeside self catering chalets and it was comfortable, well equipped and had stunning views. A braii is available at each property. You were able to fish from the stoop. The staff at the game reserve were very friendly and helpful. The reserve itself allows self guided tours or you can hire a ranger for a tour in a 4x4. The restaurant at the reserve lodge is extensive and their breakfasts are great. The suspension bridge and Zipline tours are fun activities. Very impressed with the game reserve and surrounding areas.

We went through for the day to Lake Eland Game reserve. What an experience from when we arrived. The reception was friendly. We went for a senic drive through Oribi Gorge. What fantastic views. Saw a lot of game. We decided to go on the 14 Zip line trail. It was a magic experience, never to be forgotten what a thrill, from the beginning to the end.The views while on the trail are unbelievableThe guides were exceptional. The safety also top notch.Afterwards, we went on the suspension bridge, which was another unforgettable experience. The views are out of this world.Anyone looking for a good valve for their money and a great day's outing. This is a trip that you must do.There are various other activities that you can also do, the caves 383 steps down.Hiking trails, quad trails, paintball, etc.Highly recommended.

Breathtaking views of Oribi Gorge from Lake Eland. You can see a few animals in the nature reserve on the way to the zipline activities and the suspension bridge. Well maintained, friendly staff. The restaurant serves reasonably priced good food. A short 2 hour drive away from Durban.

Nice spot to stay for a day drive. Not so many animals but the scenery is impressive. The hanging bridge is beautiful!

We wanted to visit Oribi Gorge for the day and did not know about Eland Game Reserve. What a gem to discover! There is so much to do!Our kids loved crossing the swing bridge. It has a gorgeous view! Make sure your camera/ cell phone is fully charged...you are going to need it for sure, even though pictures will not do justice to the view. You can go for a drive through the park. We saw some zebras, baboons and antelope. The shop has a lot to offer as well. And really affordable. On the premises is a restaurant and today there was live music. It created the perfect holiday atmosphere. There is a play area with lots of activities for the kids.

Beautiful place to visit with the family, whether it's a day visit or a weekend. The activities are awesome, especially the scooter tours, and the views from the suspension bridge are extraordinary. The Zip Line tour is amazing, well worth it considering it's only around R450.

Camped in the top camp site. 2 camp areas, 1 has electricity the other doesn’t. Ablutions are clean and well maintained with hot running water for showering and washing up. Swimming pool is available. There is a shop with souvenirs as well as general groceries. There is a restaurant on site that closes at 4pm so not for dinner. We did not use this service so I cannot comment on the quality of the food. I enjoyed my tome there even though I felt it was a little too commercial for my preferred camping style.
